The Entertainer (Alesha Dixon Album)
''The Entertainer'' is the third studio album by English singer Alesha Dixon. It was first released by Asylum Records on 29 November 2010 in the United Kingdom. A tougher album with lots of different layers, Dixon worked with a variety of musicians on the album, including a larger number of American producers such as Jim Beanz, Busbee, Toby Gad, Rodney Jerkins and The Stereotypes, as well as British DJ Naughty Boy and frequent collaborators such as the Danish duo Soulshock & Karlin. Originally planned to be named ''Unleashed'', ''The Entertainer'' was decided upon instead. ''The Entertainer'' received generally mixed to positive reviews from music critics many of whom praised the strong, radio-friendly productions but felt that it lacked unique characteristics. Commercially, the album failed to reprise the commercial success of the her previous effort ''The Alesha Show'' (2008). Alesha Dixon
Alesha Anjanette Dixon (born 7 October 1978) is an English singer, rapper, dancer, television personality, and author. She gained recognition in the early 2000s as a member of the R&B, garage and hip hop group Mis-Teeq. The group disbanded in 2005 and Dixon then pursued a music career as a solo artist, signing a recording contract with Polydor Records. She recorded her debut solo studio album, '' Fired Up'' in 2006, releasing her debut single "Lipstick", followed by " Knockdown", after which her popularity as a singer declined and she was subsequently dropped from Polydor. In 2007, Dixon won the fifth series of the BBC One dancing competition show ''Strictly Come Dancing''. James David Washington (born August 26, 1980), known professionally as Jim BEANZ, is an American vocal producer, songwriter, actor, singer and record producer from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is signed to Timbaland Productions and Sunset Entertainment Group. He began his career when he was an artist in the R&B group "Tresan", during which time he received mentorship from Dru Hill. In 2005, Beanz started working alongside Timbaland as a vocal producer. He co-wrote the winning entry of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, "Believe" by Dima Bilan. The ''Daily Mirror'' is a British national daily tabloid. Founded in 1903, it is owned by parent company Reach plc. From 1985 to 1987, and from 1997 to 2002, the title on its masthead was simply ''The Mirror''. Mis-Teeq were a British girl group, consisting of Alesha Dixon, Su-Elise Nash and Sabrina Washington. They had two top-ten albums and seven consecutive top-ten singles, with chart-topping success on the UK Singles Chart as well as across Europe, Asia, Australasia and the US. The group had originally been a quartet with Zena McNally who left in January 2001. The second line-up released their debut studio album ''Lickin' on Both Sides'' on 27 October 2001, which peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum. Rapping (also rhyming, spitting, emceeing or MCing) is a musical form of vocal delivery that incorporates "rhyme, rhythmic speech, and street vernacular". "Breathe Slow" is a song performed by British singer-songwriter Alesha Dixon. It is the second single from her second studio album, ''The Alesha Show'', released by Asylum Records, a part of Atlantic Records, on 9 February 2009.
