The Legendary Journeys)
''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things that are already or about to be mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with nouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of the archai ...

The Man And The Journey
''The Man and The Journey'' is a suite of music performed in concert by Pink Floyd during their 1969 tour. It consisted of several of their early songs, some unreleased songs, and material later included on ''More'' and ''Ummagumma''. The concerts featured visual performance elements such as the sawing and construction of a table, and consumption of afternoon tea onstage. Background The concept was first performed 14 April 1969 at the Royal Festival Hall in a show billed as ''The Massed Gadgets of Auximenes – More Furious Madness from Pink Floyd''. A truncated version of the show was recorded 12 May 1969 for the ''Top Gear'' radio programme. The 17 September performance at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam is the most widely bootlegged of the shows on the tour (however, incomplete) because it was broadcast by radio station VPRO. Plans for an official live album release of ''The Man'' and ''The Journey'' were considered, but abandoned in favour of ''Ummagumma''. Track list and rele ...

End Of The Beginning (song)
"End of the Beginning" is a song by English metal band Black Sabbath, the opening track on their nineteenth studio album, '' 13'' (2013). Composition "End of the Beginning" has been described as a doom metal song. According to lyricist Geezer Butler, the song deals with the fear of how "technology is going to completely take over the human race", inspired particularly by cloning: "It seems like eventually, people are going to clone the Beatles and stuff like that. I mean, it’s already happening now with a " Tupac" at Coachella, using holograms. But eventually I think they’ll start cloning people like the Beatles, and sending them out on endless tours." Music Scholar and Black Sabbath fanatic, Nolan Stolz, notes that there are apparent similarities between "End of the Beginning" and "Black Sabbath", the first song off of the first album released by Black Sabbath. It is probable that this was an artistic statement signifying the band getting back to their roots. Release " ...

End Of The Beginning (novel)
''Days of Infamy'' is a two-novel alternate history of the initial stages of the Pacific War by Harry Turtledove. The major difference is that the Empire of Japan not only attacks Pearl Harbor, but follows it up with the landing and occupation of Hawaii. ''Days of Infamy'' In ''Days of Infamy'', the logic of how the battle could have developed in Oahu is that the point of divergence occurs at a conference in March 1941, when Commander Minoru Genda and Admiral Yamamoto manage to convince the Imperial Japanese Army to follow up the Pearl Harbor air attack with an invasion to capture Hawaii whereas in reality, they did not. As is usual in Turtledove novels, the action occurs from several points of view, including historical figures such as Minoru Genda and Mitsuo Fuchida. Besides these historical figures, viewpoint characters include a corporal in the Japanese Army, a surfer (who invents the sailboard so he can fish once Honolulu is occupied), a pair of 20-someth ...
