Frank Borzage (; April 23, 1894 – June 19, 1962) was an Academy Award-winning American film director and actor, known for directing '' 7th Heaven'' (1927), '' Street Angel'' (1928), '' Bad Girl'' (1931), '' A Farewell to Arms'' (1932), ''Man's Castle'' (1933), '' History Is Made at Night'' (1937), ''The Mortal Storm'' (1940) and ''Moonrise'' (1948). Chick Morrison
Charles Pacific Morrison (1878–1924), an American silent film actor, was born April 3, 1878 in Morrison, Colorado. The grandson of pioneer town founder George Morrison, he was known as "Chick" to many who knew him, a nickname conjunction of his first and middle names. A keen horse rider, he often appeared in riding contests and rodeos throughout the American west. At Morrison he trained horses for trick and fancy riding as well as break in wild horses. In 1909 Essanay Studios brought one such horse to Morrison to film some of their famous '' Broncho Billy'' series of 2-reel thrillers. Morrison got the director's attention through his expert horsemanship, daring maneuvers, as well as his control over the animals, and was used as a double for the lead actor in some of the more dangerous scenes. Marian Ainslee
Marian Ainslee (1896 - 1966) was an American screenwriter and researcher active during Hollywood's silent film era. She often co-wrote titles for silent films with Ruth Cummings. Biography Marian Ainslee was born in Marceline, Missouri. Her first job out of school was as a newspaper reporter in Jefferson City, Missouri, where she interviewed politicians. Discouraged by salaries she encountered in journalism, she decided to move to Hollywood and give screenwriting a try. After getting her start as a script clerk, Ainslee became one of MGM's top title writers during the 1920s and early 1930s, linked closely to producer Irving Thalberg. When Thalberg died, she briefly retired from screenwriting; in 1938, she signed with RKO and wrote '' Carefree''. According to one estimation, she titled as many as 200 films during her time in the business.
