The Devil's Rain (film)
''The Devil's Rain'' is a 1975 supernatural horror film directed by Robert Fuest. The ensemble cast includes William Shatner, Tom Skerritt, Ernest Borgnine, Eddie Albert, Ida Lupino, and Keenan Wynn. Additionally, John Travolta made his film debut in a minor role. Satanist Anton LaVey is credited as the film's technical advisor and appeared in the film playing a minor role. Robert Fuest
Robert Fuest (30 September 1927 – 21 March 2012) was an English film director, screenwriter, and production designer who worked mostly in the horror, fantasy and suspense genres. Biography Born in London, Fuest served his national service in post-war Germany with the Royal Air Force, air-lifting coal over the Berlin Wall, after which he attended Wimbledon and Hornsey Schools of Art. For a period, he lectured at Southampton College of Art. Fuest also spent time as a drummer in a warm-up band for Chris Barber and George Melly. In the early sixties, he designed sets for television programmes such as ''ITV Play of the Week'' and ''Armchair Theatre''. It was whilst working on the first season of '' The Avengers'' for director Peter Hammond that Fuest developed an enthusiasm for directing. Woodrow Chambliss
Woodrow Lewis Chambliss (October 14, 1914 in Bowie, Texas – January 8, 1981 in Ojai, California) was an American character actor who appeared in both feature films and television. He is probably best known for his appearances as several characters in the TV hit ''Gunsmoke'', where he eventually settled into the recurring role of storekeeper Mr. Lathrop. Diane Hegarty
Diane Hegarty ( 1942 – July , 2022), was an American religious leader who, along with longtime partner Anton LaVey, co-founded the Church of Satan. Biography Hegarty, also known as Diane LaVey and Diana Hall, was born July 10, 1942. As well as being a self-described witchcraft, sorceress, Diane was co-founder with Anton LaVey of the Church of Satan and served as High Priestess for approximately 25 years. Anton LaVey divorced his first wife Carole and began a relationship with Hegarty that lasted 24 years, from 1960 to 1984. They had a child, Zeena Schreck (née LaVey). At the end of their relationship Diane Hegarty sued for palimony. She appears in many of the filmed rituals of the Church. These have become stock footage for anyone desiring a depiction of Satanism. George Frances Carey Sawaya (August 14, 1923 – September 17, 2003) was an American actor and stuntman. He was best known for playing the role of Detective Lopez on Jack Webb's '' Dragnet''. A B movie or B film is a low-budget commercial motion picture. In its original usage, during the Golden Age of Hollywood, the term more precisely identified films intended for distribution as the less-publicized bottom half of a double feature (akin to B-sides for recorded music). However, the U.S. production of films intended as second features largely ceased by the end of the 1950s. With the emergence of commercial television at that time, film studio B movie production departments changed into television film production divisions.
