The Crossing (video Game)
''The Crossing'' is a cancelled first-person shooter video game by Arkane Studios, which attempted to fuse single-player and multiplayer by threading its single-player campaign through live multiplayer games. The game was first announced on 9 January 2007, but put "on hold" on 15 May 2009 after the company ran into "an unexpected financial challenge" and decided to focus on smaller projects. ''The Crossing'' was later officially cancelled for Arkane Studios to work on ''LMNO'' with Electronic Arts and Steven Spielberg, which was also cancelled. Story The game incorporated the idea of parallel universes, and was to be set across two vastly different renditions of modern day Paris. QuakeCon is a yearly convention held by ZeniMax Media to celebrate and promote the major franchises of id Software and other studios owned by ZeniMax. It includes a large, paid, bring-your-own-computer ( BYOC) LAN party event with a competitive tournament held every year in Dallas, Texas, USA. In video games, spawning is the live creation of a character, item or NPC. Respawning is the recreation of an entity after its death or destruction, perhaps after losing one of its lives. Despawning is the deletion of an entity from the game world.
