	The Columns (Columbia, Missouri) The Columns are the most recognized landmark of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Standing tall in the center of Francis Quadrangle and at the south end of the Avenue of the Columns, they are the remains of the portico of Academic Hall. Along with Jesse Hall, they are one of the most photographed sites in Missouri. The Columns have been at the center of many traditions and events including graduations, concerts, pranks, weddings, and protests. Mizzou's school song mentions the columns, and they have been the setting for a work of fiction. They are a contributing structure to the Francis Quadrangle National Historic District. 	The Columns (Murfreesboro, North Carolina) The Columns, also known as the McDowell Columns Building, is a historic school building located at Murfreesboro, Hertford County, North Carolina. It was built about 1852, and is a three-story, Greek Revival style stuccoed brick building with a low hip roof and octagonal belvedere. The front facade features a massive portico supported by eight Doric order columns. It was built to house the Chowan Baptist Female Institute, later Chowan University. The building houses the school's administrative offices. picture info	Engineers' Club Building The Engineers' Club Building, also known as Bryant Park Place, is a residential building at 32 West 40th Street in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City, United States. Located on the southern edge of Bryant Park, it was constructed in 1907 along with the adjoining Engineering Societies' Building. It served as the clubhouse of the Engineers' Club, a social organization formed in 1888. The building was designed by Henry D. Whitfield and Beverly S. King, of the firm Whitfield & King, in the neo-Renaissance style. The building's facade is divided into three horizontal sections. The lowest three stories comprise a base of light-colored stone, including a colonnade with Corinthian-style capitals. Above that is a seven-story shaft with a brick facade and stone quoins.
