The Cloud is a provider of public access Wi-Fi hotspots in the United Kingdom and is a member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance. It has over 22,000 Wi-Fi hotspots network access points in the UK. The Cloud has offices in St Albans, Munich, and Stockholm. The company is owned by the Comcast group through its subsidiary Sky Group. History The Cloud was founded in January 2003, and began roll-out in March of that year. BT Openzone was the first service provider on the network. The Cloud or Bosley Cloud is a prominent hill on the border between Cheshire and Staffordshire a couple of miles west of the Peak District National Park boundary. At in height, it is one of the highest hills in the area. Its heather-covered summit plateau is crowned by a trig point from which there are extensive views over Congleton, Biddulph, Macclesfield, Holmes Chapel and the Greater Manchester area. The Cloud is at the northern apex of a triangle formed by the broken ridge which runs along the border between Cheshire and Staffordshire and the hills stretching south through Biddulph Moor into Staffordshire. ''The Cloud'' () is an oil painting by the Norwegian artist Odd Nerdrum, from 1985. It depicts a nude man in a leather helmet, looking out over a landscape with a compact dark cloud in the sky. It is held in a private collection. In 2005 the painting was selected by the newspaper ''Morgenbladet'' as one of Norway's twelve most important artworks from the period 1945–2005. "The Cloud" is a major 1820 poem written by Percy Bysshe Shelley. "The Cloud" was written during late 1819 or early 1820, and submitted for publication on 12 July 1820. The work was published in the 1820 collection '' Prometheus Unbound, A Lyrical Drama, in Four Acts, With Other Poems'' by Charles and James Ollier in London in August 1820. The work was proof-read by John Gisborne. There were multiple drafts of the poem. The poem consists of six stanzas in anapestic or antidactylus meter, a foot with two unaccented syllables followed by an accented syllable. Analysis The cloud is a metaphor for the unending cycle of nature: "I silently laugh at my own cenotaph/ ... I arise and unbuild it again." The Cloud is a multi-purpose event venue located on Queen's Wharf on the Auckland waterfront, in Auckland, New Zealand. Built as one of the centrepieces of the hospitality and 'party zone' facilities for the 2011 Rugby World Cup, it can host up to 6,000 people, and was to originally cost $7.9 million. It was designed by Jasmax and built by Fletcher Construction. The venue's location and construction was at times controversial, being nicknamed 'The Slug' by opponents, and for intending to displace two historical storage warehouses that were considered worth saving by heritage campaigners.
