River Carron, Forth
The Carron (Scottish Gaelic, Gaelic: ''Carrann'') is a river in central Scotland, rising in the Campsie Fells and flowing along Strathcarron into the Firth of Forth. It has given its name to several locations in Stirlingshire, as well as a type of cannon, a line of bathtubs, two warships, and an island in the Southern Hemisphere. Course The river rises in the Campsie Fells before flowing into the Carron Reservoir and along Strathcarron. It passes by Denny, Falkirk, Denny, then between Larbert and Falkirk, then past Carron, Falkirk, Carron village. Just as the M9 motorway (Scotland), M9 motorway crosses the river, the Forth and Clyde canal joins the river. It then flows into the Forth near Grangemouth. Charlie Allan (musician)
Charlie Allan (born 27 February 1963) is a Scottish actor and musician. He is the Chief Executive of The Clanranald Trust for Scotland, a recognized non-profit organization in Scotland, which would spread and revive primarily Scottish culture and Scottish heritage through entertainment and education. For this purpose, a replica of a medieval Scottish village named Duncarron has been constructed. He is the founder of the Scottish band Saor Patrol. He is the Chief of Combat International and the Scottish Federation of Medieval Martial Arts (SFMMA), Combat International and the SFMMA are parts of The Clanranald Trust for Scotland. He played small roles in films such as '' Gladiator'' and ''Robin Hood''. Since making ''Gladiator'' he is friends with Russell Crowe, who supports him in his Duncarron project. Duncarron
Duncarron is a modern reproduction of a fortification, fortified village from the early Middle Ages of Scotland. It is the wikt:reconstruction, reconstruction of a typical Home, residence of a Scottish clan chief from the early part of the last millennium. The supporter is the nonprofit organization The Clanranald Trust for Scotland, whose chairman is Charlie Allan. Duncarron is located in the Carron Valley on the eastern end of the Carron Valley Reservoir, near Stirling.
