The Challenge (TV Series)
''The Challenge'' (originally known as ''Road Rules: All Stars'', followed by ''Real World/Road Rules Challenge'') is a reality competition show on MTV that is spun off from two of the network's reality shows, ''The Real World'' and ''Road Rules''. Originally featuring alumni from these two shows, casting for ''The Challenge'' has slowly expanded to include contestants who debuted on ''The Challenge'' itself, alumni from other MTV franchises including '' Are You the One?'', ''Ex on the Beach'' (Brazil, UK and US), ''Geordie Shore'' and from other non-MTV shows. The contestants compete against one another in various extreme challenges to avoid elimination. The winners of the final challenge win the competition and typically share a large cash prize. ''Survivor'' is a reality competition, reality-competition television franchise produced in many countries around the world. The show features a group of contestants deliberately marooned in an isolated location, where they must provide basic survival necessities for themselves. The contestants compete in challenges for rewards and immunity (reality television), immunity from elimination. The contestants are progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted out by their fellow contestants until only one remains to be awarded the grand prize and named the "Sole Survivor". ''Big Brother'' is a Dutch reality competition television franchise created by John de Mol Jr., first broadcast in the Netherlands in 1999, and subsequently syndicated internationally. The show features contestants called "housemates" or "HouseGuests" who live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world. A rivalry is the state of two people or groups engaging in a lasting competitive relationship. Rivalry is the "against each other" spirit between two competing sides. In books and other works, the subtitle is an explanatory title added by the author to the title proper of a work. ''Real World/Road Rules Extreme Challenge'' is the fourth season of the MTV reality game show, '' The Challenge'' (at the time known as ''Real World/Road Rules Challenge''). ''The Challenge: Fresh Meat II'' is the 19th season of the MTV reality game show '' The Challenge''. ''Fresh Meat II'' is the sequel to the show's 12th season, '' Fresh Meat''.
