The Centurions (TV Series)
''Centurions'' is an American science fiction on television, science fiction animated television series produced by Ruby-Spears and was animated in Japan by Sunrise (company), Nippon Sunrise's Studio 7. Comic book artists Jack Kirby and Gil Kane contributed to the design and concepts of the show while Norio Shioyama did the character designs. The series began in 1986 as a five-part mini-series and was followed with a 60-episode series. The series was story edited by Ted Pedersen and written by several authors, including prolific science fiction writers Michael Reaves, Marc Scott Zicree, Larry DiTillio and Gerry Conway. The series theme and soundtrack were composed by Udi Harpaz. There was also a line of tie-in toys by Kenner Products, Kenner and a comic book series by DC Comics. Larry DiTillio
Lawrence G. DiTillio (February 15, 1948 – March 16, 2019) was an American film, TV series, and tabletop role-playing game writer. His creations include ''He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword'' and the award-winning ''Masks of Nyarlathotep''. Education Larry DiTillio attended the film school at New York University for four years. He then spent an additional two years at UCLA's film school. Career After graduating, DiTillio decided to make a career as a Hollywood writer. He knocked on agency doors until he was able to find an agent willing and able to find him work as a film writer. James Michael Reaves (born September 14, 1950) is an American writer, known for his contributions as scriptwriter and story editor to a number of 1980s and 1990s animated television series, including '' Disney's Gargoyles'' and '' Batman: The Animated Series''. Norio Shioyama
was an animator, illustrator, character designer, and animation director born in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. He is most well known for his work as character designer on the anime television series ''Armored Trooper Votoms''. Shioyama, along with Kōichi Murata, Kazuo Komatsubara, and Kōshin Yonekawa, was one of the founding members of the animation studio Oh! Production. Profile In 1961, Shioyama moved to Tokyo. In 1966, he joined Hatena Pro under the direction of Bonjin Nagaki. After helping to found Oh! Gil Kane (; born Eli Katz ; April 6, 1926 – January 31, 2000) was a Latvian-born American comics artist whose career spanned the 1940s to the 1990s and virtually every major comics company and character. Kane co-created the modern-day versions of the superheroes Green Lantern and the Atom for DC Comics, and co-created Iron Fist and Adam Warlock with Roy Thomas for Marvel Comics.
