Man Or Astro-man?
Man or Astro-man? is an American surf rock group that formed in Auburn, Alabama in the early 1990s and came to prominence over the following decade. Primarily instrumental, Man or Astro-man? blended the surf rock style of the early 1960s like that of Dick Dale and The Spotnicks with the new wave and punk rock sounds of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Man or Astro-man? was known for their anachronistic dedication to science fiction themes, audio samples, obscure electronic devices (such as theremins and tesla coils), and high-energy live performances. Surf Rock
Surf music (or surf rock, surf pop, or surf guitar) is a Music genre, genre of rock music associated with surf culture, particularly as found in Southern California. It was especially popular from 1958 to 1964 in two major forms. The first is instrumental surf, distinguished by reverb-heavy electric guitars played to evoke the sound of crashing waves, largely pioneered by Dick Dale and the Del-Tones. The second is vocal surf, which took elements of the original surf sound and added vocal harmonies, a movement led by the Beach Boys. Dick Dale developed the surf sound from instrumental rock, where he added Middle Eastern music, Middle Eastern and Mexican music, Mexican influences, a spring reverb, and rapid alternate guitar picking, picking characteristics. Demolition (also known as razing, cartage, and wrecking) is the science and engineering in safely and efficiently tearing down of buildings and other artificial structures. Demolition contrasts with deconstruction, which involves taking a building apart while carefully preserving valuable elements for reuse purposes. For small buildings, such as houses, that are only two or three stories high, demolition is a rather simple process. The building is pulled down either manually or mechanically using large hydraulic equipment: elevated work platforms, cranes, excavators or bulldozers. Larger buildings may require the use of a wrecking ball, a heavy weight on a cable that is swung by a crane into the side of the buildings. ''Astro Launch'' is one of many 7-inch EPs Man or Astro-man? released in 1994. It was released on Estrus Records on clear orange vinyl and black vinyl. As the black vinyl copies are pressed onto translucent black vinyl, some discographies list the vinyl color as "rootbeer" or "clear rootbeer". There are also some copies pressed on opaque gray vinyl, and at least one copy on dark, ruby-red vinyl. "Transmission from Venus '94" is a re-recording of a song Man or Astro-man? recorded in 1993 and released on a Roger Corman tribute compilation. The back cover states that a secret vocal version of "Philip K. Dick" on cassette can be obtained from Man or Astro-man? for $1. The cover art was designed by Art Chantry. Wernicke's area (; ), also called Wernicke's speech area, is one of the two parts of the cerebral cortex that are linked to speech, the other being Broca's area. It is involved in the comprehension of written and spoken language, in contrast to Broca's area, which is primarily involved in the production of language. It is traditionally thought to reside in Brodmann area 22, which is located in the superior temporal gyrus in the dominant cerebral hemisphere, which is the left hemisphere in about 95% of right-handed individuals and 70% of left-handed individuals. A man is an adult male human. Prior to adulthood, a male human is referred to as a boy (a male child or adolescent).
