Bertram Bracken
Bertram Bracken (August 10, 1879 – November 1, 1952) was an American silent screen actor, scenarist, and director who worked on at least sixty-five films between 1910 and 1932. Biography Bertram “Bert” Bracken was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 10, 1879, and was raised in Lampasas, Texas, where his parents, Charles and Betty Bracken, operated a grocery store. According to his studio biography Bracken as a young man attended Yale University, worked in banking and served for a year and a half with the 15th U.S. Cavalry. His acting career began in the late 1890s at Chicago’s Haymarket theatre and continued on the road with his own stock company performing the play ''College Life'' which he wrote and produced. Bracken entered film in 1910 with the Star Film Company often playing heavies under the direction of Gaston Méliès. Gordon Sackville (born 1880 - August 6, 1926) was a film actor. Earlier in his career he appeared on stage. He was part of several Hobart Bosworth productions. He was in '' The Best Man Wins'', one of the first Hollywood films. Sackville was born in Peterborough, Ontario. He died of a stroke in 1926. The George Eastman Museum Motion Picture Collection in Rochester, New York comprises about 28,000 titles, including features, shorts, documentaries, newsreels, and experimental moving images. Lloyd Whitlock
Lloyd Whitlock (January 2, 1891 – January 8, 1966) was a prolific American actor who began working during Hollywood's silent era. Born in 1891, he appeared in nearly 200 films between 1916 and 1949. Distinguished by his height and stature, he became especially known for playing heavies in B-movie westerns. Biography Lloyd was born in Springfield, Missouri, to James Whitlock and Mary Wadlow. After appearing in dozens of silent films, Lloyd successfully made the transition to the talkies, appearing on-screen through the early 1940s. He married Mary Gibsone, a Canadian citizen, in Los Angeles in 1919. The pair had a daughter together. Lloyd died in 1966 in Los Angeles. Nigel De Brulier (born Francis George Packer; 8 August 1877 – 30 January 1948) was an English stage and film actor who began his career in the United Kingdom before relocating to the United States. Biography De Brulier was born in Frenchay, a suburb of Bristol on August 8, 1877 as Francis George Packer, the son of James Packer, a Gloucestershire coachman, and his wife Louisa Packer (née Field). De Brulier launched his career as an actor and singer on the stage in his native country and transferred to the American stage after moving to Canada and then to the United States in 1898. In the 1900 U.S. census he was recorded as Francis G. Packer, butler, in a private household in Denver, Colorado. His first film role was a poet in ''The Pursuit of the Phantom'' in 1914. William Hamilton Osborne (January 7, 1873 - December 25, 1942) was a lawyer and writer in the U.S. whose work includes stories, novels, and screenplays. Two novels he wrote were made into films and he wrote the screenplay for another. His work was published in various magazines and ''The Witch's Tales''. ''The Red Mouse'' is a five act play that starred Valerie Bergere adapted by H.J.W. Dam from Osborne's novel. The New Jersey Historical Society has a collection of his papers donated by his wife. He studied at Columbia University School of Law and represented the Authors League of America.
