The Black Scorpion (professional Wrestling)
The Black Scorpion is a retired professional wrestling gimmick in World Championship Wrestling in 1990 that was played by a variety of wrestlers. The character had a feud with Sting which lasted from fall to winter that year. History In August 1990, The Black Scorpion debuted in WCW (which was still under the NWA banner at the time) in vignettes taunting NWA World Heavyweight Champion Sting. He wore a hooded robe to conceal his face and warned Sting he was after him. The wrestler playing this part was Ole Anderson with his voice distorted enough to keep the fans pondering his identity. Al Perez (born July 23, 1960) is a retired American professional wrestler. He held 16 titles during a 20-year career, including the WCWA World Heavyweight Championship. Professional wrestling career Early career Perez began wrestling as an amateur in high school and was one of the top athletes in his home state of Florida. He started professional wrestling in 1982. Four Horsemen (professional Wrestling)
The Four Horsemen was a professional wrestling stable in Jim Crockett Promotions as part of Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling and later World Championship Wrestling. The original group consisted of Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard. Halloween Havoc (1990)
The 1990 Halloween Havoc was the second annual Halloween Havoc professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) under the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) banner. It took place on October 27, 1990, from the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois. This was also the final Halloween Havoc produced by WCW under the NWA, as in January 1991, WCW split from the NWA. On the original VHS release, only 6 of the 10 matches of the main broadcast were included as the fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth matches of the show were not included. Barry Clinton Windham (born July 4, 1960) is an American retired professional wrestler. The son of wrestler Blackjack Mulligan, he is best known for his appearances with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). During his NFL days he played four seasons with the Green Bay Packers. Starrcade '90: Collision Course was the eighth annual Starrcade professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). It was the third Starrcade event held by WCW, and the final under the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) banner and the first under the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) banner. A house show or live event is a professional wrestling event produced by a major promotion that is not televised, though they can be recorded. Promotions use house shows mainly to cash in on the exposure that they and their wrestlers receive during televised events, as well as to test reactions to matches, wrestlers, and gimmicks that are being considered for the main televised programming and upcoming pay-per-views.
