''The Beat of Wings in the Night'' (Swedish: ''Vingslag i natten'') is a 1953 Swedish drama film directed by Kenne Fant and starring Edvin Adolphson, Erik Berglund and Naima Wifstrand. It was a major commercial success, along with ''One Summer of Happiness'' boosting the fortunes of the production company Nordisk Tonefilm.Sundholm p.294 The film's sets were designed by the art director Bibi Lindström. Kenne Fant
Carl-Henrik "Kenne" Fant (1 January 1923 – 29 May 2016) was a Swedish actor, director, and writer. Early life Kenne Fant was born in Strängnäs to Captain Tore Fant and Stina Fant (née Gustafsson). He was the younger brother of actor, director, and writer George Fant and first cousin of speech scientist Gunnar Fant. Career Fant studied at Dramatens elevskola from 1945 to 1949, and was at the Royal Dramatic Theatre from 1949 - 1950. He was hired as director of the Nordisk Tonefilm 1952 -1962, and became production manager of Svensk Filmindustri, Swedish Film Industry (SF) in 1962. He was appointed CEO of SF from 1963. In 1980 he resigned to become a freelance writer. His 1962 film ''Adventures of Nils Holgersson'' was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival. In 1991, he published a biography of Alfred Nobel that included many references to the extensive collection of Nobel's letters. Berit Elisabet Andersson (11 November 1935 – 14 April 2019), known professionally as Bibi Andersson (), was a Swedish actress who was best known for her frequent collaborations with filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. Early life and career Andersson was born in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, the daughter of Karin (''née'' Mansion), a social worker, and Josef Andersson, a businessman. Her first collaboration with Ingmar Bergman came in 1951, when she participated in his production of an advertisement for the detergent Bris. She also worked as an extra on film sets as a teenager, and studied acting at the Terserus Drama School and at the Royal Dramatic Theatre School (1954–1956).
