Aviator
An aircraft pilot or aviator is a person who controls the flight of an aircraft by operating its Aircraft flight control system, directional flight controls. Some other aircrew, aircrew members, such as navigators or flight engineers, are also considered aviators, because they are involved in operating the aircraft's navigation and engine systems. Other aircrew members, such as drone operators, flight attendants, Aircraft maintenance technician, mechanics and Line technician (aviation), ground crew, are not classified as aviators. The United States Playing Card Company (USPC, though also commonly known as USPCC) is a large American producer and distributor of playing cards. It was established in 1867 as Russell, Morgan & Co. and founded in its current incarnation in 1885. Its many brands include Bicycle, Bee, Tally-Ho, Congress, Aviator, Aristocrat, Mohawk, Maverick, KEM, Hoyle and Fournier. The Aviator (short Story)
"The Aviator" is the 1965 English translation of a short story, '' L'Aviateur'', by the French aristocrat writer, poet and pioneering aviator, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (29 June 1900 – 31 July 1944, ''Mort pour la France''). The original story (''L'Aviateur'') upon which the translation was based was Saint-Exupéry's first published work. ''L'Aviateur'' was excerpted from a longer unpublished manuscript, ''L'Évasion de Jacques Bernis'' (The Escape of Jacques Bernis). ''L'Aviateur'' was released in April 1926 in its excerpted form by editor Jean Prévost. The Shenzhen New Century Liebao Club, also known as Shenzhen Marco Polo or Shenzhen Leopards (previously Shenzhen Aviators) are a Chinese professional basketball team which plays in the Southern Division of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). New Century is the club's corporate sponsor. The team is based in Longgang District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, and plays its home games at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre (SUSC). Aviator sunglasses are a style of sunglasses that were developed by a group of American firms. The original Bausch & Lomb design is now commercially marketed as Ray-Ban Aviators, although other manufacturers also produce aviator-style sunglasses. Design Aviator style sunglasses are intended to be worn under headgear and are characterised by dark, sometimes reflective lenses and thin monel, steel or titanium metal frames with double or triple bridge and bayonet earpieces or flexible cable temples that hook more securely behind the ears. The large lenses are not flat but slightly convex. Honda Aviator
The Honda Aviator was a motor scooter produced by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India. Its slogan is "Live Your Style". It has a four-stroke single-cylinder engine, HET air-cooled engine (the same as in the Dio and the Activa) which produces 8 bhp at 7000 rpm and maximum torque of 8.77 Nm at 5500 rpm. The scooter has V-Matic transmission and can be kick-started or self-started. With the recently updated Honda Eco Technology (HET) the scooter has company-claimed efficiency of 60 km/L. In 2018, the scooter received a minor update from Honda which included a new instrument console and LED headlamp. It was discontinued in April 2020 after the BS6 emission norms took effect. Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major American airline which operated from 1930 until 2001. Aircraftman (AC) or aircraftwoman (ACW) is the lowest rank in the British Royal Air Force (RAF) and the air forces of several other Commonwealth countries. In RAF slang, aircraftmen are sometimes called "erks". Aircraftman ranks below leading aircraftman and has a NATO rank code of OR-1. Geoff Crammond
Geoff Crammond is a computer game designer and programmer who specialises in motor racing games. A former defence industry systems engineer, he claims to have had little interest in motor racing before programming his first racing game (Revs) back in 1984, but he holds a physics degree, which may explain the realism of some of his programming. As a consequence of that project he became a big fan of Formula One motor racing. ''The Aviator: Music from the Motion Picture'' is the original soundtrack album of the 2004 film '' The Aviator'' starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett and Alan Alda.
