"The Age of Love" is a 1990 self-titled track by Italian-Belgian duo Age of Love. It is notable as an early (but far from being the first) popular example of trance music. Released as a single in 1990 on the Belgian label DiKi Records, it was written by Bruno Sanchioni and Giuseppe Chierchia, and produced by Sanchioni and Roger Samyn, the owner of DiKi Records. The most well-known version of the song is a 1992 remix by German duo Jam & Spoon, subtitled the "Watch Out for Stella Remix". To this day, the track continues to be remixed and featured on compilations. As of November 2022, the online resource Discogs has cataloged a total of 126 known releases and 431 appearances on compilations. "Fade to Grey" is a 1980 song by British new wave band Visage, released as the second single from their debut album, '' Visage'' (1980), on Polydor Records. The song was the band's most successful single. It entered the singles charts in late 1980, peaking at no. 8 in the UK Singles Chart and reaching no. 1 in West Germany and Switzerland. Steve Strange was on lead vocals; the French lyrics were spoken by Rusty Egan's Belgian girlfriend Brigitte Arens. The music video became one of the first videoclips that Kevin Godley and Lol Creme directed, before they became known for their works with the Police, Duran Duran and Herbie Hancock. Cosmic Gate is a German DJ duo consisting of trance music producers Claus Terhoeven (born 1972) and Stefan Bossems (born 1967). Both hail from Krefeld, Germany. On October 28, 2009, ''DJ Magazine'' announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll, with Ultra Records artist Cosmic Gate placed #19, 43 spots above the group's ranking the year before. For the 2010 ''DJ Magazine'' Top 100 DJ Poll, Cosmic Gate moved to #24. Charlotte de Witte (born 21 July 1992) is a Belgian DJ and record producer, best known for her "dark and stripped-back" brand of minimal techno and acid techno music. She has previously performed under the alias Raving George. She is the founder of the label KNTXT. Early life and career de Witte was born in Ghent, Belgium on 21 July 1992. UK hard house or simply hard house is a style of electronic dance music that emerged in the early 1990s and is synonymous with its association to the Trade club and the associated DJs there that created the style. It often features a speedy tempo (around 150 BPM but hard house ranges from around 135 BPM to around 165 BPM), offbeat bass stabs, hoovers and horns. It usually contains a break in the middle of the track where no drums are present. UK hard house often uses a long and sharp string note to create suspense. Most of the time, the drops are introduced by a drum roll. Rolf Johannes Ellmer (born 3 December 1960) is a classically trained musician and composer (concert-guitarist) and has become one of Germany's most well known producers in the techno and trance scene. Together with Markus Löffel (alias Mark Spoon), also from the German music scene, he has recorded under several monikers such as Jam & Spoon, Tokyo Ghetto Pussy and Storm (German band), Storm. He was a member of the group Dance 2 Trance, along with Dag Lerner (alias DJ Dag), which had success all over the world and he is considered to be one of the pioneers of trance music.
