The Advice
The Advice (formerly known as, Jethro's Advice) are an American contemporary Christian music band from Greenville, South Carolina, and they were formed in 2003. Their members are Matt Houston, Jared Houston, Aaron Bowen, Sanchez Fair, and Jeff Madden. They released, ''The Advice'', with Inpop Records in 2013. Background The band formed in Greenville, South Carolina, in 2003. Their members are leading vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Matt Houston, leading guitarist, Jared Houston, keyboardist, Aaron Bowen, drummer, Sanchez Fair, and bass guitarist, Jeff Madden, where the members are background vocalists to their lead vocalist. They had, Justin Gilreath, as their rhythm guitar player, but he left the band in 2007. The band were called, Jethro's Advice, until they got a record deal with Inpop Records, causing them to change their names to The Advice. Soul music is a popular music genre that originated in the African American community throughout the United States in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It has its roots in African-American gospel music and rhythm and blues. Soul music became popular for dancing and listening, where U.S. record labels such as Motown, Atlantic and Stax were influential during the Civil Rights Movement. History When former Newsboys lead singer Peter Furler and the band's manager Wes Campbell first came to the United States in the 1980s, they had no intention of owning a record label. A decade later, Furler decided he was tired of sharing his tour bus bunk with hundreds of demos piled high, all given to him from artists he met on tour. Karyn Kristyne Williams-White (born July 28, 1979), is an American Christian musician. She released an extended play, ''Wake Up'', in 2011. Her first album, '' Only You'', was released by Inpop Records in 2012, along with a re-release of the same album in 2013. Early life Williams-White was born on July 28, 1979, in Winter Park, Florida, as Karyn Kristyne Williams, whose father is Pat Williams, and whose mother is Jill Williams. She has three other biological siblings and fourteen adopted siblings. Williams-White earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida majoring in broadcast journalism. She relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2007, to pursue her music career.
