The Early November is an American rock band from New Jersey, United States. The group formed in 2001 and signed with Drive-Thru Records in 2002. , they have released two EPs: '' For All of This'' (2002) and '' The Acoustic EP'' (2005). They have released five full-length albums: '' The Room's Too Cold'' (2003), triple album ''The Mother, the Mechanic, and the Path'' (2006), '' In Currents'' (2012), and '' Imbue'' (2015). Pompton Plains is a census-designated place (CDP) comprising the majority of Pequannock Township, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. It is in the valley of the Pompton River, which forms the eastern border of the community, the township, and Morris County. Across the river to the east is Wayne in Passaic County, and across the river to the northeast is the borough of Pompton Lakes. Neighboring communities in Morris County are Riverdale to the north, Kinnelon to the west, Lincoln Park to the southwest, and the remainder of Pequannock Township to the south. New Jersey Route 23 runs through the east side of the community, leading northwest to Franklin and south to Interstate 80 in Wayne. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Acoustic Rock
Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means. While all music was once acoustic, the retronym "acoustic music" appeared after the advent of electric instruments, such as the electric guitar, electric violin, electric organ and synthesizer. Acoustic string instrumentations had long been a subset of popular music, particularly in folk. It stood in contrast to various other types of music in various eras, including big band music in the pre-rock era, and electric music in the rock era. Drive-Thru Records
Drive-Thru Records was a California-based independent record label owned by siblings Richard and Stefanie Reines. The label was partially responsible for popularizing the pop-punk/emo merger sound of the early to mid-2000s. After facing financial obstacles in getting their bands' music into stores, Drive-Thru entered into a distribution deal with MCA/Universal. In 2003 MCA was dissolved and folded into Geffen Records. One of the clauses of that agreement was MCA/Geffen being able to sign any band of their choosing from Drive-Thru's roster. Once the Universal deal ended, they signed a contract with independent label Sanctuary Records. Starting with a new roster, the label garnered a top 10 platinum hit with "Here In Your Arms" by Hellogoodbye. Chris Badami
Chris Badami is an American musician, record producer and audio engineer. A New Jersey native, Badami began his musical journey by teaching himself the basics of recording on a four-track cassette recorder he received as a birthday gift. Badami has recorded and produced hundreds of acts since the early 1990s. Badami got his start in the music industry as an active player and studio musician in the New York/New Jersey area. While performing in recording studios, his love of technology began. From there, Badami began working at top recording studios in the area and completed two college degrees in percussion and music technology from NYU (A.S. & B.M.). The ability to relate to musicians in a recording environment is what led Badami to start Portrait Recording Studios. The Room's Too Cold
''The Room's Too Cold'' is the debut studio album by the American rock band The Early November. Produced by Chris Badami, it was released on October 7, 2003 through Drive-Thru Records. It was co-produced by the lead singer - Arthur 'Ace' Enders. The album also features a guest appearance from Kenny Vasoli of The Starting Line, who was also signed to Drive-Thru at the time. The album peaked at number 107 on US ''Billboard'' 200. Recording ''The Room's Too Cold'' was recorded at Portrait Recording Studio in Lincoln Park, New Jersey with Chris Badami and Enders producing the sessions. The former also acted as engineer, with assistance from Michelle Dispenziere; Badami mixed the tracks before the album was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music in New York City.
