"That's Not Me" is a song by British MC Skepta, featuring his brother Jme. It was released on 8 June 2014 as a digital download in the United Kingdom on iTunes as the lead single from Skepta's fourth album '' Konnichiwa'' (2016). The song peaked at number 21 on the UK Singles Chart. "That's Not Me" is an intentional throwback to the early era of grime music. ''Complex'' magazine ranked the song number 1 on its list of "Grime's Most Impactful Songs of the 2010s", calling it "one for the history books". Chief Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr. (born 19 September 1982), known professionally as Skepta, is a British-Nigerian grime MC, rapper and record producer. Alongside his younger brother Jme, he briefly joined Roll Deep before they became founding members of Boy Better Know in 2005. With Boy Better Know, Skepta clashed with fellow MC Devilman for the video release ''Lord of the Mics 2'', in what is remembered as one of the biggest clashes in grime history. Janum Khan, better known by his stage name Jaykae, is a British rapper and actor from Small Heath, Birmingham. Music career Jaykae's start with music began when he started listening to other grime artists from London. In 2017 he released a single, "Every Country," featuring Murkage Dave of the Murkage cartel. Darren Dixon (born 19 January 1980), known professionally as D Double E, is a British grime MC, DJ and record producer from Forest Gate, East London. He performs both as a solo artist and as a member of the grime duo Newham Generals. Career D Double E has been active for over 20 years, beginning his career in jungle and UK garage music. The MOBO Awards (Music of Black Origin, also known as the MOBOs) are an annual British music award presentation honouring achievements in " music of black origin", including hip hop, grime, UK Drill, R&B, soul, reggae, jazz, gospel, and African music. Lord of the Mics (also known as LOTM) is a series of recorded grime clashes, headed by Jammer and Chad ‘Ratty’ Stennett. Each edition of LOTM features grime MC's participating in recorded clashes, where they 'battle' each other over grime instrumentals. Various notable grime artists have participated in Lord of the Mics, such as Skepta, Wiley, Kano, P Money, Big H, and Canadian MC Tre Mission. LOTM was originally launched in 2004. The first clash to be filmed for LOTM, Wiley versus Kano, was filmed in Jammer's basement. The series was originally only published via DVD.
