Thailand Women's National Volleyball Team
The women's national volleyball team of Thailand () represents the Thailand in international volleyball competitions. It is managed by the Thailand Volleyball Association. The team won a silver medal in the 2016 Montreux Volley Masters, 2016 Montreux Masters, the best finish by any team outside the Americas, East Asia and Europe. Also, the team took a fourth-place finish in 2012 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix, 2012 World Grand Prix. And the team took a bronze medal in Volleyball at the Summer Universiade, Summer Universiade in two times, the best finish by any team outside the world. In Asia, the team won a silver medal in the Volleyball at the 2018 Asian Games – Women's tournament, 2018 Asian Games and a bronze medal in the Volleyball at the 2014 Asian Games – Women, 2014 Asian Games. Women's Asian Volleyball Cup
The Asian Women's Volleyball Cup, also known as the AVC Cup for Women, was an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the top senior women's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. The tournaments have been awarded every two years since 2008. The current champion is Japan, which won its first title at the 2022 tournament. This event should not be confused with the other, more prestigious, continental competition for Asian national volleyball teams, the Asian Volleyball Championship and Asian Volleyball Challenge Cup. The 7 Asian Cup tournaments have been won by three different national teams. China have won five times. The other Asian Cup winners are Japan and Thailand, with one title each. 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship
The 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship was the nineteenth edition of the Asian Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI). The tournament was held in both Biñan and Muntinlupa, Philippines from 9 to 17 August 2017. Qualification The fourteen AVC member associations were from four zonal associations: Central Asia (4 teams), East Asia (5 teams), Oceania (2 teams), and Southeast Asia (3 teams). West Asian teams did not submit any of their women's national teams. Qualified teams The following teams qualified for the tournament. Maldives qualified for their first tournament. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball.
