Tertulla was the wife of Marcus Licinius Crassus, the richest man in Rome, and the mother of his two sons. Biography Tertulla had had a presumably childless marriage to one of Marcus Crassus' brothers before being widowed and subsequently married to him (either his elder brother Publius who died around 88 BC or his younger brother who died some time between 87–86 BC). Arrecina Tertulla (died in 62 or 63) was a Roman woman who lived in the 1st century. She was the first wife of Titus and mother of his daughter Julia Flavia. Biography Early life Tertulla came from an Equestrian-rank family of obscure origin. Her mother was Julia Ursa and her father was Marcus Arrecinus Clemens, who served as Emperor Caligula's praetorian prefect in 38 A.D. Tertulla's brother Marcus Arrecinus Clemens also served as a praetorian prefect in 70 under the Emperor Vespasian. Her name "Tertulla", is a nickname for the female cognomen ''Tertia''. Marriage In 62 Tertulla married Vespasian's first son, the future Emperor Titus. Julia Tertulla was a Roman woman who lived in the 1st century and 2nd century in the Roman Empire. Tertulla was the daughter of suffect consul Gaius Julius Cornutus Tertullus and the identity of her mother is unknown. Tertulla was born and raised in Perga, the capital of the Roman province of Pamphylia. She was the paternal aunt to Gaius Julius Plancius Varus Cornutus. She married Lucius Julius Marinus Caecilius Simplex, a Roman Senator. Junia Tertia, also called Tertulla, (c. 75 BC – 22 AD) was the third daughter of Servilia and her second husband Decimus Junius Silanus, and later the wife of Gaius Cassius Longinus. Biography Early life Through her mother she was the younger half-sister of Marcus Junius Brutus, she also had two older sisters Junia Prima and Junia Secunda as well as an older brother named Marcus Junius Silanus. Marriage and later life Tertia married Gaius Cassius Longinus, they had one son, who was born in about 59-60 BC. She had a miscarriage in 44 BC. In 47 BC, it was rumored that she was Julius Caesar's lover through her mother's arrangement. Like her mother, Tertia was allowed to outlive her husband Cassius, unmolested by the triumvirs and Augustus.
