Terry Harrison (ice Hockey)
Terry Harrison (born June 1, 1978) is a Canadian former ice hockey right winger. Early life Harrison was born in Winnipeg. He played junior hockey in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League for the Portage Terriers before spending four seasons with the Northern Michigan Wildcats men's ice hockey team. Career In 2003, Harrison signed with the Columbia Inferno of the East Coast Hockey League. A year later, he moved to the Rockford IceHogs of the United Hockey League, during which he was called up by the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals where he played nine games. In 2005, Harrison signed for KalPa of Finland's SM-liiga, but played just nine games before being released. He finished the 2005-06 season in Denmark with the Odense Bulldogs. He returned to the ECHL the following year with the Long Beach Ice Dogs before moving back to Europe to spend the next two seasons in Italy for SHC Fassa and in France for Bisons de Neuilly-sur-Marne. United Hockey League
The United Hockey League (UHL), originally known as the Colonial Hockey League from 1991 to 1997 and last known as the International Hockey League from 2007 to 2010, was a low-level minor professional ice hockey league, with teams in the United States and Canada. The league was headquartered in Rochester, Michigan, and, in its last year, consisted of seven teams. It folded in 2010, with most of its teams joining the Central Hockey League. Long Beach Ice Dogs (ECHL) Players
The Long Beach Ice Dogs were an American professional ice hockey team based in Long Beach, California at the Long Beach Sports Arena. They played until the end of the 2006–07 ECHL season. History The Ice Dogs trace their origins to the San Diego Gulls, a team in the now-defunct International Hockey League (IHL), that began play in 1990. In 1995, the team moved north to become the Los Angeles Ice Dogs. Due to poor attendance at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, the team was on the move again after just one season, this time to Long Beach, California, where it retained the "Ice Dogs" name and played at the Long Beach Sports Arena. KalPa Players
Kalevan Pallo (KalPa) is a professional ice hockey team which competes in the Finnish Liiga. They play in Kuopio, Finland at the Olvi Areena. Team history Established in 1929 as ''Sortavalan Palloseura'' in Sortavala, the club relocated to Kuopio in 1945 after its original hometown had been annexed by the Soviet Union. During its Sortavala years, the club was not active in ice hockey, but competed in association football, bandy, and pesäpallo instead. Ice hockey was introduced in 1947, and in 1956 KalPa officially replaced the more traditional Kuopio club KuPS in that sport thus specializing in hockey – minor league football was still continued until 1974 as a farm team of sorts for KuPS. The Quad City Mallards were a minor league professional ice hockey team based in the Quad Cities area of Illinois and Iowa that competed in the International Hockey League, Central Hockey League and ECHL. They were named after the Mallards team that played in the United Hockey League from 1995 to 2007, this Mallards franchise marked their debut in 2009 in the International Hockey League.
