Terry Hall (basketball)
Teresa A. "Terry" Hall (November 30, 1944 – July 14, 1997) was an American women's basketball coach and player. She coached at Eastern Kentucky, Louisville, Kentucky and Wright State. Early years Hall was born in Salem, Indiana and was eldest of three girls. She attended Salem High School and joined the Girls Athletic Association, and organization for women's high school sports prior to Title IX. She attended Indiana State University and obtained a degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. At ISU, she played tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton and field hockey. Upon graduation, she took a position as a physical education teacher at West Washington High School in Washington, Indiana then at Butler High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Eastern Kentucky Hall left Butler in 1974 to pursue a master's degree in physical education at Eastern Kentucky University. Terence Edward Hall (19 March 1959 – 18 December 2022) was a British musician who came to prominence as the lead singer of the 2-tone (music genre), 2-tone band the Specials, and later recorded with groups such as Fun Boy Three, the Colourfield, Terry, Blair & Anouchka, and Vegas (duo), Vegas. He released two solo studio albums and also collaborated with many artists including Dave Stewart (musician and producer), David Stewart, Bananarama, the Lightning Seeds, Sinéad O'Connor, Stephen Duffy, Dub Pistols, Gorillaz, Damon Albarn, D12, Tricky (musician), Tricky, Lily Allen and Shakespears Sister. He appeared regularly on television with his puppet, Lenny the Lion, whose catchphrase was "Aw, don't embawass me!" Terry And Lander Halls
Terry and Lander Halls are two student residence halls of the University of Washington. They have occupied various buildings over the years, have always been residence halls and always next to each other until the current construction which has Maple Hall between them. The set of buildings was named for Charles and Mary Terry and Judge Edward Lander, who contributed part of the land for the original Territorial University's Seattle campus in 1861. History The original Lander Hall was built in 1917 as the Aviation Dormitory for the U.S. Naval Training Camp, known as USNTC Building #39. After 1919 it served as the Men's Dormitory until it was torn down in 1928. It was designed by the Bremerton Navy Yard and was located southwest of the stadium along Montlake Boulevard. Terrance Levi Hall (13 September 1945 – 1 January 2016) was a Canadian policeman who served as an officer of the Toronto Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Hall was the commander of the OPP's Special Squad, which targeted outlaw biker gangs, and was the lead investigator in the Port Hope 8 case, in which six members of Satan's Choice Motorcycle Club were controversially convicted of murder. Early police career Hall was born in Tillsonburg, the son of Frank and Ethel Hall. He joined the Toronto Police Service in 1962 at the age of 17. In 1967, he transferred over to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). As a policeman, he stood out because he was 6'5 tall. Paul Bailey, a policeman with the York Regional Police, said of him: "He was a consummate professional and a great friend to many police officers".
