Kuwait has experienced several terror attacks, including those carried out by Al-Qaeda and other acts of Islamic terrorism. Al-Qaeda
Al-Qaeda (; , ) is an Islamic extremism, Islamic extremist organization composed of Salafist jihadists. Its members are mostly composed of Arab, Arabs, but also include other peoples. 2015 Kuwait Mosque Bombing
A suicide bombing took place on 26 June 2015 at a Shia mosque in Kuwait. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant claimed responsibility for the attack. Salmiya
Salmiya (Arabic السالمية; transliterated As-Sālmīya(h)) is a city in Hawalli Governorate in Kuwait. Salmiya is administratively divided into 12 blocks. The blocks located closer to the interior of the district tend to be mostly residential, while those located beside the Persian Gulf coastline have a great deal of commercial and up-scale residential real estate. Peninsula Lions
The Peninsula Lions are an organization that staged several attacks in Kuwait in 2005. Several of their members have been arrested by Kuwaiti security forces, Hamad Al Harbi, a fugitive sentenced ''in absentia'' to seven years in prison for his part in clashes between the Peninsula Lions and police in 2005, and Meshal Al Shimmari, sentenced in absentia to 10 years in jail for belonging to the al-Qaeda-linked group. In 2005, Amer Khlaif Al Enezi, a preacher at a mosque in Jahra area, was arrested on 31 January and died in custody on 8 February due to "heart failure". He was an active member and supposedly leader of the Peninsula Lions.
