Tennis At The 2018 Asian Games – Women's Doubles
The women's doubles tennis event at the 2018 Asian Games took place at the Tennis Court of Jakabaring Sport City, Palembang, Indonesia from 20 to 25 August 2018. Luksika Kumkhum and Tamarine Tanasugarn were the defending champions, however Tanasugarn has retired from professional tennis in 2016, while Kumkhum chose not to compete in this event. Xu Yifan and Yang Zhaoxuan won the gold medal, defeating Chan Hao-ching and Latisha Chan in the final. Gozal Ainitdinova and Anna Danilina, and Miyu Kato and Makoto Ninomiya is a Japanese professional tennis player. During her career, she has won one singles title on the ITF Circuit, and achieved a career-high singles ranking of 280. In doubles, she has won six titles on the WTA Tour, one title on the WTA Challe ... won the bronze medals. Jakabaring Sport City ''(sic)'', also known as Jakabaring Sports Complex ( id, Kompleks Olahraga Jakabaring) is an integrated sports facility complex in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia. The complex is located 5 kilometers southeast of Palembang city center, across the Musi river by the Ampera Bridge in Jakabaring, Seberang Ulu I area. It was the main venue of the 2011 Southeast Asian Games, the 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games, the 2014 ASEAN University Games, the 2017 Asian Triathlon Championship and the 2018 Asian Games. Gelora Sriwijaya Stadium, one of the largest stadiums in Indonesia, is located within this complex. Facilities The sports complex was built to host 2004 Pekan Olahraga Nasional, an Indonesian national multi-sport event in which athletes from 34 Indonesian provinces participated.
