State Route 95 (SR 95) is a state route in the U.S. state of Tennessee. It serves to connect Lenoir City with Greenback and Oak Ridge, via U.S. Route 321. Route description SR 95 serves as a secondary route between its southern terminus in Greenback and I-40 and as a primary highway for the rest of its duration. SR 95 begins at US 411 ( SR 33), in Greenback, and goes northwest predominantly along Lenoir City Road. Curving through the Red Knobs, it passes through the communities of Centersville and Glendale, before reaching US 321 ( SR 73). This section of SR 95 is two-lane throughout, with no shoulders and minimum allowable lane widths. Clinch River
The Clinch River is a river that flows southwest for more than through the Great Appalachian Valley in the U.S. states of Virginia and Tennessee, gathering various tributaries, including the Powell River, before joining the Tennessee River in Kingston, Tennessee. Course The Clinch River is dammed twice: by Norris Dam, the first dam built by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA); and by the Melton Hill Dam, the only TVA dam with a navigation lock that is not located on the main channel of the Tennessee River. Kingston Pike is a highway in Knox County, Tennessee, United States, that connects Downtown Knoxville with West Knoxville, Farragut, and other communities in the western part of the county. The road follows a merged stretch of U.S. Route 11 (US 11) and US 70. From its initial construction in the 1790s until the development of the Interstate Highway System in the 1960s, Kingston Pike was the main traffic artery in western Knox County, and an important section of several cross-country highways. Tennessee River
The Tennessee River is the largest tributary of the Ohio River. It is approximately long and is located in the southeastern United States in the Tennessee Valley. Clinton, Tennessee
Clinton is a city in and the county seat of Anderson County, Tennessee, United States. Clinton is included in the Knoxville metropolitan area. Its population was 10,056 at the 2020 census. History Prehistoric Native American habitation was not uncommon throughout the Clinch valley, especially during the Woodland period (1000 B.C. – 1000 A.D.) and the Mississippian period (1000–1550 A.D.). A number of such habitation sites were excavated in the 1930s and 1950s in anticipation of the construction of Norris Dam and Melton Hill Dam, respectively.
