Telemark (Storting Constituency)
Telemark is one of the 19 multi-member constituency, constituencies of the Storting, the national legislature of Norway. The constituency was established in 1921 following the introduction of proportional representation for elections to the Storting. It consists of the Municipalities of Norway, municipalities of Bamble, Drangedal, Fyresdal, Hjartdal, Kragerø, Kviteseid, Midt-Telemark (municipality), Midt-Telemark, Nissedal, Nome, Norway, Nome, Notodden, Porsgrunn, Seljord, Siljan, Norway, Siljan, Skien, Tinn, Tokke and Vinje in the Counties of Norway, county of Telemark. The constituency currently elects five of the 169 members of the Storting using the Open list, open party-list proportional representation electoral system. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". The assembly is led by a president and, since 2009, five vice presidents: the presidium. The members are allocated to twelve standing committees as well as four procedural committees. Tokke
Tokke is a municipality in Telemark in the county of Vestfold og Telemark in Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Vest-Telemark. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Dalen. The municipality of Tokke was created on 1 January 1964 upon the merger of the two older municipalities of Lårdal and Mo. Bård André Hoksrud (born 26 March 1973 in Porsgrunn) is a Norwegian politician for the Progress Party. Since 2005, he has been a member of the '' Storting''. He served as Minister of Agriculture and Food from 2018 to 2019, and as State Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Communications from 2013 to 2015. Jone Blikra (born 11 October 1962) is a Norwegian police officer and politician for the Labour Party. A deputy to the Storting from Telemark from 2021, he has met as deputy for Terje Aasland since 2022.
