Teea Goans
Teea Goans ( ) is an American country music singer. She grew up in rural Lowry City, Missouri, not far from the Kansas border. Goans recorded her first album, ''The Way I Remember It'', in 2010. Biography Teea Goans was singing in church by the time she was three years old and when she turned eight she was spotted at a talent contest by the Truman Lake Opry. A year later she became a full-fledged member. She continued to perform there every week until she was 17 and opened for Grand Ole Opry acts such as Bill Anderson, Little Jimmy Dickens and Grandpa Jones. After high school, Goans earned her associate degree at Longview Community College in Kansas City and remained there after graduation. Her primary musical influence during those early years was her maternal grandmother – the late Della Lee Faulkner. "Man of Constant Sorrow" (also known as "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow") is a traditional American folk song first published by Dick Burnett, a partially blind fiddler from Kentucky. The song was originally titled "Farewell Song" in a songbook by Burnett dated to around 1913. A version recorded by Emry Arthur in 1928 gave the song its current titles. Several versions of the song exist that differ in their lyrics and melodies. The song was popularized by the Stanley Brothers, who recorded the song in the 1950s; many other singers recorded versions in the 1960s, most notably by Bob Dylan. Variations of the song have also been recorded under the titles of "Girl of Constant Sorrow" by Joan Baez and by Barbara Dane, "Maid of Constant Sorrow" by Judy Collins, and "Sorrow" by Peter, Paul and Mary. Aubrey Haynie
Aubrey Haynie (born March 27, 1974) is an American bluegrass musician who plays the fiddle and mandolin. In his career, he has recorded three studio albums for the Sugar Hill Records label, all three of which contained mostly songs that he wrote himself. He also holds several credits as a session fiddler and mandolinist. Biography Early influences When Haynie was nine, he began taking fiddle lessons from his grandmother's cousin, a man named Ted Locke. He studied the fiddle, for two years, after which he took up the mandolin. He became exceedingly good at both, and within two years he joined a bluegrass band named the Bluegrass Parlor Band.
