Tatiana Belinky
Tatiana Belinky (18 March 1919 – 15 June 2013) was a Russian-born Brazilian children literature, children's writer. She wrote over 250 books for children. Biography Born in Petrograd, Belinky came to Brazil with her family when she was ten years old, fleeing from the civil wars in the then Soviet Union. At eighteen, after completing a preparatory course on Mackenzie University, she began working as bilingual secretary in Portuguese and English. At twenty she enrolled at the Philosophy course of Faculdade São Bento, but she abandoned it then when she married the doctor and educator Júlio Gouveia in 1940. The couple had two sons. In 1948, Belinky begins to work adapting translating and creating children's plays for São Paulo city government in partnership with her husband. In 1952 they direct the play "The Three Bears" at the request of TV Tupi, which achieves great success. ''Sítio do Pica-pau Amarelo'' is a 1952 Brazilian children-family television series produced and aired by Rede Tupi, ''Sítio'' was scripted by Brazilian author Tatiana Belinky, based on the Sítio do Picapau Amarelo (novel series), series of novels of same name. The series is the second live-action adaptation of the ''Sítio'' universe, after the feature film ''O Saci (film), O Saci'', released in the previous year. It was the first television adaptation of the homonymous work by Monteiro Lobato. ''Sítio'' tells the story of the peaceful title site, the Yellow Woodpecker Ranch, where its unique dwellers live in fantasy and learning. ''Mundo da Lua'' (''World of the Moon'') is a Brazilian children's fantasy television series that aired on TV Cultura from 6 October 1991 to 27 September 1992, totalling 52 episodes. It was created by Flávio de Souza and starred Luciano Amaral. It is currently shown on TV Rá-Tim-Bum. Plot The series features Lucas Silva e Silva (Luciano Amaral), a ten-year-old boy who lives with his grandparents, parents, sister and maid in a townhouse in São Paulo. His father, Rogério (Antônio Fagundes), is a teacher who works hard, and his mother, Carolina (Mira Haar), works at a boutique. His older sister is called Juliana (Mayana Blum), and the maid is called Rosa (Ana D'Lira). Lucas is given a tape recorder by his grandfather, Orlando (Gianfrancesco Guarnieri), for his birthday.
