Tarvaris D'Andre Jackson
Tarvaris D'Andre Jackson (April 21, 1983 – April 12, 2020) was an American American football, football quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). Jackson played college football for both Alabama State Hornets football, Alabama State and Arkansas Razorbacks football, Arkansas. He played professionally for the Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills. The Vikings selected Jackson in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft, and Jackson played for the Vikings from 2006 to 2010. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section).
