Sparkadia
Sparkadia is an Australian band, formed in Sydney in 2004. They were originally known as The Spark. The band is brainchild of Alexander Burnett (vocals, guitar) and Dave Hall (drums), the band became a reality with the addition of Nick Rabone (bass) and Josephine Ayling (keyboards, guitar, vocals) in 2006. In 2008 Ayling was replaced by Tiffany Preece on guitars and vocals. By 2009 Sparkadia was Burnett's solo project. Sparkadia has released two studio albums, ''Postcards'' (31 May 2008) and ''The Great Impression'' (18 March 2011). Band history 2004–2007: Formation and ''Things Behind the Sun'' Sparkadia formed as a duo in 2004 in Sydney by Alexander Burnett on lead vocals and David Hall on drums. On 17 February 2007 Sparkadia released their debut extended play titled, ''Things Behind the Sun'', on Boundary Sounds through Inertia Records, which peaked in the ARIA Singles Chart top 100 for four weeks in March–April. Cymbals (2010s Band)
Cymbals (stylised as CYMBALS) are an English band from London. Formed in 2010, the band currently consists of vocalist/guitarist Jack Cleverly and keyboardist Dan Simons. History The band was formed in London 2010 by Jack Cleverly (vocals/guitars), Dan Simons (keyboards), Luke Carson (bass), and Neil Gillespie (drums). The band released their debut album ''Unlearn'' a year later through the Tough Love record label, and followed up in 2012 with an EP called ''Sideways, Sometimes''. Their sophomore album, entitled ''Age of Fracture'', was released in 2014. This was followed by an EP called ''What Eternity'', with new band member Josh Heffernan (drums). Songs from ''What Eternity'' would later be added to the bonus version of ''Age of Fracture''. In 2017 the band entered a radical change after its releases with Carson, Gillespie and Heffernan leaving the band. Foals (band)
Foals, stylised as FOALS, are a British rock band formed in Oxford in 2005. The band's current line-up consists of Greek-born lead vocalist and guitarist Yannis Philippakis, drummer and percussionist Jack Bevan and rhythm guitarist Jimmy Smith. They are currently signed to Warner Records, and have released seven studio albums to date: '' Antidotes'' (2008), ''Total Life Forever'' (2010), ''Holy Fire'' (2013), ''What Went Down'' (2015), and ''Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1'' & 2 (2019) and their most recent, ''Life Is Yours'' (2022). Swim Deep
Swim Deep are a British indie pop band formed in Birmingham, England. The band currently consists of Austin Williams (vocals), Cavan McCarthy (bass), James Balmont (keyboards), Robbie Wood (guitar), and Thomas Fiquet (drums). Swim Deep were formed in 2011 by Williams, Higgins, and Wolfgang J. Harte. Harte left the band in late 2012 and was replaced by Cavan McCarthy. James Balmont joined the band as a live member in 2013 and became a full member the next year. In 2018, it was confirmed Zachary Robinson (drums) and Tom Higgins (guitar) had left the band ahead of recording their third album. Thomas Fiquet (drums) and Robbie Wood (guitar) joined the band for the recording of their third album, 'Emerald Classics'. Swim Deep have been identified as part of the emerging Digbeth-based B-Town scene.
