Takreem USA
Takreem America or Takreem USA is a non-profit organization founded in 2019 to honor Arab Americans and help them build bonds and synergies of exchange with their motherland. Every year, it recognizes the journeys of Arab individuals and institutions who have left their mark in the fields of Young Entrepreneurship, Corporate Leadership, Cultural Excellence, Sciences and Technology, and Environmental Development and Sustainability. Beyond these five categories, Takreem America, and through its Lifetime Awards and Special Distinctions, acknowledges individuals whose pioneering spirit and lifelong dedication have had a significant impact on society. Takreem America's creation comes as the organic next step in Takreem's journey, which was mostly dedicated to Arabs in the Arab World. Arab Americans ( ar, عَرَبٌ أَمْرِيكِا or ) are Americans of Arab ancestry. Arab Americans trace ancestry to any of the various waves of immigrants of the countries comprising the Arab World. Adah Almutairi ( ar, غادة المطيري; born November 1, 1976) is an American scientist and professor at University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Her work focuses on nanomedicine, nanotechnology, chemistry and polymer science. Forbes has described her as one top ten most influential female engineers in the world. Early life and education Almutairi was born on November 1, 1976, in Portland, Oregon, United States to Saudi parents. She moved to Los Angeles in 1997 to complete her higher education. Huda Yahya Zoghbi (Arabic: هدى الهبري الزغبي ''Hudā al-Hibrī az-Zughbī''; born 1954), born Huda El-Hibri, is a Lebanese-born American geneticist, and a professor at the Departments of Molecular and Human Genetics, Neuroscience and Neurology at the Baylor College of Medicine.
