"Take a Look Around" is a song by American rap rock band Limp Bizkit. It is the first single and tenth track on their third album, ''Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water'', and was released on July 3, 2000. The main riff of the song is derived from the original ''Mission: Impossible'' theme composed by Lalo Schifrin, however it deviates in its meter which is common time, except the bridge, which uses Schifrin's original time signature. It appears on the soundtrack to the 2000 film '' Mission: Impossible 2''. In the United Kingdom, "Take a Look Around" was Limp Bizkit's first single release. The song became a European hit in mid-2000, reaching number one in Iceland and Portugal, number two in Finland and Spain, and number three in Italy and the UK.
