Taiwan Trade Shows (known as "Taipei Trade Shows" before 2012) is a series of trade exhibitions organized by TAITRA in Taipei, Taiwan. It is based on the ''Taiwan Clothes Export Mart Exhibition'' first held in September 1974. Currently, TAITRA holds a number of annual "Taiwan Trade Show" exhibitions including COMPUTEX, Taipei Cycle, and TAITRONICS at the Taipei World Trade Center. TAITRA
The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA; ) is a non-profit government co-sponsored trade promotion organization in Taiwan. It was founded in 1970 as China External Trade Development Council (CETRA). However, it changed its English name in January 2004. This was in order to avoid confusion with bodies representing the People's Republic of China. TAITRA assists Taiwan businesses and manufacturers to reinforce their international competitiveness and to cope with the challenges they face in foreign markets. COMPUTEX
COMPUTEX Taipei, or Taipei International Information Technology Show (), is a computer expo held annually in Taipei, Taiwan. Since the early 2000s, it is one of the largest computer and technology trade shows in the world. The last COMPUTEX was held from 28 May to 1 June 2019 with sessions about such topics as 5G, facial recognition, and Internet of Things, along with a charity League of Legends tournament. COMPUTEX 2020 was cancelled after a delay from early June to 28 September due to public health safety concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic. Taipei International Electronics Show (TAITRONICS; ) is a trade show held every October by Taiwan External Trade Development Council and Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association to promote electronic industry in Taiwan since 1974. After entering the Taipei World Trade Center in 1986, the TAITRONICS held every spring and autumn with different topics. Initially, the spring show before 1994 was ever named with Taipei International Electrical Equipment Show. In addition, TAITRA made an initiation on DVD and optoelectronic show from 2001 to 2005. With a rapid change in electronic industry, some subsidiary shows confronted to be combined and suspended. The Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC; ) was inaugurated in January 1986 by Taiwan's foremost trade promotion organization, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), to provide a single, modern venue that would combine exhibition space, conference facilities, offices, and hotel accommodation for international business. Taiwan International Fastener Show (Fastener Taiwan; ) is one of the world's largest professional trade fairs focused on the fastener industry.
