Tago Ativalu
Tago Ativalu (died 3 May 1985) was an American Samoan politician. He served in the Senate from 1973 to 1984. Biography Ativalu worked as a police officer and became a civil servant in the Department of Public Works. He also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and was a member of the Veterans Association. He was elected to the Senate of the Thirteenth Legislature in 1972. He was re-elected in 1974, 1976, 1978, 1980 and 1982. During his time in the Senate he served as chair of the Samoan Affairs Committee and Vice Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee. Congregational Christian Church In American Samoa
The Congregational Christian Church of American Samoa (CCCAS) or the "Ekalesia Faapotopotoga Kerisiano i Amerika Samoa" (EFKAS) is a theologically Calvinist and congregational denomination in American Samoa. It was established in 1980 with Galea'i Peni Poumele as its first Chairman. Poumele was instrumental in the establishment of the church in the early 1980s. Background and history The church was established by the missionaries of the London Missionary Society in the 1830s. American Samoa had been a naval dependency of the United States, in 1950 it became an American dependent civil territory. Nuuuli is a village on the central east coast of Tutuila Island, American Samoa. It is located on a peninsula several miles up from Pago Pago International Airport. Nuuuli is located between Pago Pago International Airport and Coconut Point. It is a shopping district which is home to stores, groceries and many more shops. It is the fifth-largest village in land area in American Samoa and the second most populous one, after Tafuna. It straddles the line between the Eastern District and the Western District. This makes it the only village in American Samoa that occupies two districts.
