Taekwondo At The 2010 Asian Games
Taekwondo at the 2010 Asian Games was held in Guangzhou, China from November 17 to 20, 2010. Men's and women's competitions were held in eight weight categories for each gender. All competition took place at the Guangdong Gymnasium. Each country was limited to having 6 men and 6 women. The women's flyweight (−49 kilograms) event at the 2010 Asian Games took place on 17 November 2010 at Guangdong Gymnasium, Guangzhou, China. At the first round, Yang Shu-chun Yang Shu-chun or Judy Yang (; born October 26, 1985 in Yingge, Taipei County, now New Taipei City) is a female Taiwanese taekwondo athlete. She won the women's flyweight (under 51 kg) gold medal at the 2008 Asian Taekwon ... of Chinese Taipei was controversially disqualified near the end of the first period when she was leading 9-0 against her Vietnamese opponent Vũ Thị Hậu. "Unauthorized" electronic sensors were allegedly found in her socks before or during the match. Yang's equipment had passed the pre-match inspection. After the disqualification, Yang protested the judgement in tears and refused to leave the mat. Yang's disqualification drew a furious response from media and fans in Taiwan. Pen-ek Karaket
Pen-Ek Karaket (born 18 March 1990, Bangkok) is a Thai taekwondo practitioner who competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the under 58 kg weight class. Karaket lost to Lee Dae-Hoon in the first round. As Lee reached the gold medal match, Karaket was entered into the repechage. Karaket beat Tamer Bayoumi to reach the bronze medal match but lost that to Óscar Muñoz of Colombia. Karaket is coached by Thailand's national taekwondo coach Choi Young-Seok. He also competed in the Asian Games 2010 where he earned silver for Thailand. Karaket graduated from Budin Decha School in the year 2007. Currently he is enrolled to Kasetsart University. John Paul Lizardo (born June 8, 1986), also known as Japoy Lizardo, is a Filipino taekwondo practitioner, actor and commercial model. Education Lizardo attended Pasig Catholic College and studied college at De La Salle University - College of Saint Benilde.
