Tadhg O'Connor
Tadhg O'Connor (born 1948) is an Irish former List of hurling managers, hurling manager and former hurling, player who played as a right wing-back for the Tipperary GAA, Tipperary senior team. Born in Roscrea, County Tipperary, O'Connor was introduced to hurling in his youth. He developed his skills at Roscrea CBS while simultaneously becoming involved at underage levels with the Roscrea GAA, Roscrea club. An All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, All-Ireland medal winner with the Roscrea senior team, O'Connor also won two Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship, Munster medals and six Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, championship medals. O'Connor made his debut on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team. Roscrea GAA
Roscrea () is a market town in County Tipperary, Ireland, which in 2016 had a population of 5,446. Roscrea is one of the oldest towns in Ireland, having developed around the 7th century monastery of Saint Crónán of Roscrea, parts of which remain preserved today. Roscrea is a designated ''Irish Heritage Town'' due to the extent of important historical buildings that are preserved in the town. Amongst the most notable buildings of interest are the 13th century Roscrea Castle and Damer House on Castle Street. Within the town are the remains of the ancient Romanesque doorway and gable-end of St Cronan's church. The Round Tower and the High cross of the ancient monastery are also located nearby. Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship
The Munster GAA Hurling Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. The championship was contested as the Munster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. It is sponsored by Bord Gáis Energy. The final, currently held in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during a three-week period, and the results determine which team receives the J. J. Kilruane McDonaghs GAA
Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the villages of Kilruane, Ardcroney and Cloughjordan. The club was founded in 1937 and is named after Thomas MacDonagh, a signatory of the 1916 Proclamation who was born and lived in Cloughjordan. The clubhouse and playing field are located in Cloughjordan. The finest day in the club's history was in 1986 when it won the Senior Hurling Club All-Ireland title, defeating Buffers Alley of Wexford GAA in the final by 1-15 to 2-10. Joe Tynan
Joe Tynan (born 1950) is an Irish former hurling, hurler. At club level he played with Roscrea GAA, Roscrea and was also a member of the Tipperary senior hurling team. Career Tynan first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Roscrea GAA, Roscrea club. He was part of the club's minor team that won consecutive North Tipperary MHC titles from 1966 and 1967, before later winning a Tipperary U21AHC title in 1968. By that stage Tynan had already joined the club's Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, senior team and won the first of seven North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, North Tipperary SHC titles and six Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship, Tipperary SHC medals. Barney Moylan
Barney Moylan (born 1943) is an Irish former hurler who played as a right wing-forward for the Offaly senior hurling team. Moylan made his first appearance for the team during the 1965 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1976 championship. During that time he experienced little success with the team. Moylan was a Leinster runner-up on one occasion in 1969, where he marked Eddie Keher scoreless from play. At club level Moylan was a two-time Leinster medalist with St Rynagh's. In addition to this he has also won nine county club championship medals. Playing career Club Moylan enjoyed much success with St Rynagh's in a club career that spanned two decades.
