Tadatoshi Akiba
is a Japanese mathematician and politician and served as the mayor of the city of Hiroshima, Japan from 1999 to 2011. Early life He studied mathematics at the University of Tokyo, receiving a B.S. in 1966 and an M.S. in 1968. He continued his studies under John Milnor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning his PhD in mathematics in 1970. He took teaching jobs at a series of universities: State University of New York at Stony Brook (1970), Tufts University (1972–1986), and Hiroshima Shudo University (1986–1997). His research was on topology, with an interest in homotopy groups. While at Tufts, Akiba established the ''Hibakusha Travel Grant'' program, which brought several American print and broadcast journalists annually to Hiroshima in August, to craft stories about the city (and typically about the experiences of those exposed to the atomic bomb in 1945). was a Japanese ''daimyō'' of the early Edo period. Biography Tadatoshi was the son of Aoyama Tadanari, a Tokugawa vassal of the Sengoku period who was born in Mikawa Province. Tadatoshi, like his father, was a Tokugawa vassal, and was famous for his role as the third shōgun Iemitsu's teacher. He became a ''daimyō'' in 1603, when Tokugawa Ieyasu was the founder and first ''shōgun'' of the Tokugawa Shogunate of Japan, which ruled Japan from 1603 until the Meiji Restoration in 1868. Having studied the Yagyū Shinkage-ryū under Ujii Yashiro, Tadatoshi wanted his guest, Musashi, to fight against the sword master of his fief, and see which style was the strongest. Tadatoshi Masuda
is a former Japanese football player. He played for Japan national team. Club career Masuda was born in Shizuoka on December 25, 1973. After graduating from Shizuoka Gakuen High School, he joined Kashima Antlers in 1992. He debuted in 1994 and played many games as offensive midfielder. The club won the champions at 1996 J1 League and 1997 J.League Cup. However he got hurt in August 1998. Although he came back in September 1999, his opportunity to play decreased. He moved to FC Tokyo in June 2000. After that, he played for JEF United Ichihara (2002), Kashiwa Reysol (2003-2005) and Oita Trinita (2006). He retired end of 2006 season.
