Scotstoun Stadium
Scotstoun Stadium is an athletics and rugby union stadium in Scotstoun, an area in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland. Glasgow Warriors have trained at the facility since 2009 and have played their home games here from the 2012–13 season onwards. It has a capacity of 9,708 for rugby union. Between 2012 and 2015, the Stadium hosted the Scotland Sevens – the Scottish leg of the IRB Sevens World Series, but then the leg was moved to a new host country, France in 2016. History The facility first opened in 1915 as Scotstoun Showgrounds after the land was developed by the Glasgow Agricultural Society as a venue for agricultural shows. It was soon being used as a venue for sporting events and as a result the Grandstand was erected. Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small solid rackets. Emperor Xizong of Tang (June 8, 862 – April 20, 888), né Li Yan, later name changed to Li Xuan (, changed 873), was an emperor of the Tang dynasty of China. He reigned from 873 to 888. Sally Yee (born April 10, 2001) is a Fijian table tennis player who represented Fiji at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She also competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event. She won 3 silver medals and a bronze at the 2019 Pacific Games. Career Fiji entered her into the table tennis competition at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games for the first time in the nation's Olympic history. Grace Yee is a poet, writer and creative writing teacher. Her debut verse novel, ''Chinese Fish'', won both the Victorian Prize for Literature and the Mary and Peter Biggs Award for Poetry in 2024.
