TOYDRUM
Toydrum are an English musical duo formed in 2011 by former Unkle band members and record producers Pablo Clements and James Griffith. The pair work out of their Brighton studio, The Toyrooms, where they wrote and recorded their debut EP, ''Distant Focus Vol 1'' (2014), and the subsequent ''Evangelist'' (2015), with Gavin Clark. In 2015, the duo composed and produced the score to the film ''London Fields (film), London Fields'', directed by Mathew Cullen. Clements and Griffith wrote and produced music for Shane Meadows' series ''This Is England '90'', under the name Evangelist, a project they started with Gavin Clark and Clayhill. At the end of 2015, Toydrum finished the score to Christopher Smith (director), Christopher Smith's ''Detour (2016 film), Detour''. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on 16 April 2016. ''Montana'' is a 2014 British action film directed by Mo Ali set in the East End of London starring McKell David as the title character in his first lead role in a feature film. He has since been in the TV series Holby City as Lloyd Kramer. The score was composed by TOYDRUM, Toydrum. Plot A 14-year-old drug-runner called Montana (McKell David) gets haunted by crime lord Lazarus. Facing death, he is rescued by ex-Serbian Commando Dimitrije (Lars Mikkelsen), a man with a dark past who wants to destroy Lazarus and his criminal empire. Gavin Clark
Gavin Clark (25 January 1969 – 16 February 2015) was an English singer-songwriter and musician. He was a member of groups including Sunhouse, Clayhill and UNKLE. Clark was a long term friend of director Shane Meadows, they met in 1989 at a Manchester house party when working at Alton Towers amusement park. Meadows asked Clark to score his debut feature ''Small Time'' in 1996 with film producer and drummer Dominic Dillon. Clark's work subsequently appeared in each of Meadow's films. Actor Paddy Considine, another friend of Meadows, was briefly in a band with Clark. Clark and Dillon went on to form the group Sunhouse with guitarist Paul Bacon and bassist Rob Brooks. Sunhouse released one album, the critically acclaimed '' Crazy on the Weekend'' in 1998 but split in 1999.
