''TG4'' (''TeleGiornale 4'') is the brand for Italian TV channel of Mediaset network Rete 4's news programmes. They are shown domestically on Rete 4 several times throughout the day. Its editor-in-chief is Rosanna Ragusa. Programme format Rete 4 had a news program from its inception until 1984 and was called '' Gli Speciali Di Rete 4''. However, in 1984, '' Rete 4 Ultimissima'' was established. The programme is generally presented by a single newsreader. Most items will be made up of reports but may preceded or followed by a correspondent reporting live from the scene of the report. Mediaset Italia S.p.A., also known as Mediaset, is an Italian-based mass media company which is the largest commercial broadcaster in the country. The company is controlled by the holding company MFE - MediaForEurope. Founded in 1987 by former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, the group competes primarily against the public broadcaster RAI, the privately owned La7 and (through Sky Group Limited) Comcast's Sky Italia. Emilio Fede
Emilio Fede (born 24 June 1931) is an Italian anchorman, journalist and writer. He has been the director of ''TG1'' (from 1981 to 1982), a news programme on Raiuno, '' Studio Aperto'' (from 1991 to 1992), a news programme on Italia 1, and ''TG4'' (from 1992 to 2012), a news programme on Rete 4. Biography Fede was born in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, Sicily. He spent part of his youth living in nearby San Piero Patti. He started his career in the Italian public broadcasting company (RAI) in the early 1950s, and went on to become one of the most popular faces in its news dominant TV market share in Italy. Giovanni Toti
Giovanni Toti (born 7 September 1968) is an Italian journalist and politician, who has been President of Liguria since June 2015. Toti was also elected to the European Parliament, following the 2014 European Parliament election. Biography Born in Viareggio in 1968, Toti grew up in Massa Carrara where the family ran a hotel, and he has lived for many years with his family and parents in Bocca di Magra, Ameglia, in the province of La Spezia, Liguria. Mario Giordano (born 19 June 1966) is an Italian journalist and writer. He is known to be one of the most contentious journalists in the Italian right-wing politics sector, and for various disciplinary sanctions against him in the context of his work.
