TER Provence-Alpes-Côte D'Azur
TER Provence Alpes-Côte-d'Azur (TER PACA) is the regional rail network serving the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Regions of France, region in France. This network is operated by SNCF. The public transport authority, the Regional Council, runs 800 trains a day, especially near Avignon, Marseille, Toulon and Nice. 100,000 users take regional trains each day. Network The network is made up of 17 train lines. All bus lines are operated by private operators under the Regional Council Authority. Unlike most other regions in France, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur separates their trains into two services: * ''TER'' : suburban or local services, with only 2nd class wagons. These trains are operated with multiple units. * ''Intervilles'' : regional InterCity trains (not to be confused with InterCités trains, a nationwide service), with 1st and 2nd class, except between Marseille, Gap and Briançon. Villeneuve-Loubet
Villeneuve-Loubet (; oc, Vilanuòva e Lo Lobet; it, Villanova Lobetto) is a Communes of France, commune in the Alpes-Maritimes Departments of France, department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Regions of France, region in southeastern France. Biot, Alpes-Maritimes
Biot (; oc, Biòt) is a small fortified medieval hilltop village in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur near Antibes, between Nice and Cannes. Many people come to Biot for its renowned cubist art museum of Fernand Leger as well as the winding cobbled lanes on the elevated fort. This village, that is now known for its ceramics and glassblowing, dates to prehistoric times. History For a long period prior to 154 BC, Celto-Ligurians ( the Oxybians and Deceates tribes) controlled the region. There was discord between the tribes and the town of Antipolis (Antibes), who then asked the Romans for help. Romans settled in Biot in 154 BC which they then occupied for five centuries, leaving behind monuments that are still here today. Cannes-la-Bocca station ( French: ''Gare de Cannes-la-Bocca'') is a railway station in the city of Cannes, southern France. The station opened on 10 April 1863 when the line from Les Arcs to Cagnes-sur-Mer (part of the Marseille–Ventimiglia railway) opened to passengers. Mandelieu-la-Napoule
Mandelieu-la-Napoule (; oc, Mandaluec la Napola; locally spelled Mandelieu-La Napoule) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. Nice-Ville Station
Nice-Ville station (French: ''Gare de Nice-Ville''), also known as Nice-Thiers station (''Gare de Nice-Thiers''), is the main railway station of Nice, France. It is situated on the Marseille–Ventimiglia railway and constitutes the southwestern terminus of the Nice–Breil-sur-Roya railway. Cannes Station
Cannes station or ''Cannes-Voyageurs'' ( French: ''Gare de Cannes'') is the main railway station for the French Southern city of Cannes. It is situated on the Marseille–Ventimiglia railway. History The station opened on 10 April 1863 when the line from Marseille to Cagnes-sur-Mer opened to passengers. The station was a small elegant building with a rooftop spanning both tracks of the main line. In 1870 the line from Grasse is opened. The engine depot was moved to La Bocca in 1880 and a goods station opened in 1883. With the lengthening of trains, the old station proved to be too small for the growing town. Work on a new station started in 1962. The station building was subsequently replaced by the present structure in 1975.
