TCDD HT80000
TCDD HT80000, also known as Siemens Velaro TR, is a series of high-speed electric multiple units built by Siemens for the Turkish State Railways. The EMUs are used for the Yüksek Hızlı Tren (YHT) services on the Turkish high-speed railway network and especially on the Polatlı–Konya high-speed railway, where they can reach a maximum speed of . History In 2013 TCDD concluded three contracts with Siemens for the acquisition of these seventeen units (1 unit for the first, 6 for the second and 10 for the last contract). Furthermore, Siemens would provide 7 years of maintenance and cleaning, and also provide a simulator. But in the end of 2014, the third contract on the last 10 sets was canceled by the Public Tender Committee of Turkey because of a missing certificate. Ankara Tren Garı ("Ankara Train Station"), alternatively known as Ankara YHT railway station ( tr, Ankara Yüksek Hızlı Tren Garı) and abbreviated as ATG, is a mixed-use commercial building in Ankara, Turkey. The building houses a shopping mall, a five-star hotel and commercial offices, as well as a concourse for YHT high-speed trains. Situated next to the Ankara railway station, the ATG terminal was built on the southern half of land used by the Ankara station, on the former site of two platforms serving commuter trains along with storage tracks. Vectron (locomotive)
The Vectron is a locomotive series made by Siemens Mobility, introduced at the 2010 InnoTrans trade fair in four prototype versions: diesel, multi-system, and both AC and DC electric power. The diesel version has been replaced in 2018 by a dual mode locomotive which is powered by electricity on electrified sections of the track and can be switched to diesel mode on non-electrified sections.
