T.B. Wells
Theodore B. Wells (1889-1976) was an American architect. He was born in North Dakota. He studied at L'ecole des Beaux Arts. Back in North Dakota, he designed many public and commercial buildings. (pages in ND Courthouses TR) and A number of his works are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Wells had a sole proprietorship before partnering with Myron Denbrook, Jr. The partnership was located in downtown Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Wells-Denbrook Architects Office Building in Grand Forks was listed on the National Register in 2014. Wells served as a president of the North Dakota Association of Architects. During World War I, Wells served with the 307th Engineers, attached to the 82nd Division, serving 22 months, with 13 in France. Grand Forks is the third-largest city in the state of North Dakota (after Fargo and Bismarck) and the county seat of Grand Forks County. According to the 2020 census, the city's population was 59,166. Grand Forks, along with its twin city of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, forms the center of the Grand Forks, ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is often called Greater Grand Forks or the Grand Cities. Grand Forks County Fairgrounds WPA Structures is a collection of five structures within the Grand Forks County Fairgrounds in Grand Forks, North Dakota, that were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. The structures are the fairgrounds entrance gate, ticket kiosk, administration building, and cairns, all built from stone, as well as the fairgrounds grandstand. They are located on the grounds of the Grand Forks State Fair Grounds and are associated with the River Cities Speedway. Downtown Grand Forks is the original commercial center of Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Chester Fritz Library is the largest library at the University of North Dakota (UND) in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It is the largest library in the state of North Dakota and houses over two million print and non-print items. It is a designated U.S. Patent and Trademark depository of federal and state documents.
