T. Winter-Damon
T. Winter-Damon was the pseudonym of Timothy Winter Damon, an American writer of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, as well as an artist. His work has appeared in anthologies and in hundreds of international magazines. Among other distinctions, T. Winter-Damon's short fiction was regularly selected to be reprinted in The Year's Best Horror Stories, an annual anthology published by DAW Books. His non-fiction specialties included world mythologies, Meso-American mythologies and ritual, serial murder, sexual sadism, cannibalism, and the occult, published in multiple issues. He noted Marquis de Sade, Charles Baudelaire, William S. Burroughs, Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, and Harlan Ellison as literary influences. A novelist is an author or writer of novels, though often novelists also write in other genres of both fiction and non-fiction. Some novelists are professional novelists, thus make a living writing novels and other fiction, while others aspire to support themselves in this way or write as an avocation. Most novelists struggle to have their debut novel published, but once published they often continue to be published, although very few become literary celebrities, thus gaining prestige or a considerable income from their work. Don Webb (writer)
Don Webb (born April 30, 1960) is an American science fiction and mystery writer, as well as an author of several books on Left Hand Path occult philosophy. He is also a former High Priest of the Temple of Set. Writing career Webb's first professional fiction sale was the short story "Rhinestone Manifesto", published in '' Interzone'' 13, Autumn 1985. He is best known for weird, experimental, and offbeat fiction, as well as works inspired by H. P. Lovecraft and according to Locus Magazine, he has published many stories, essays, interviews and other writing materials. A year or annus is the orbital period of a planetary body, for example, the Earth, moving in its orbit around the Sun. Tor Books
Tor Books is the primary imprint of Tor Publishing Group (previously Tom Doherty Associates), a publishing company based in New York City. It primarily publishes science fiction and fantasy titles, and is the largest publisher of Chinese science fiction novels in North America. History Tor was founded by Tom Doherty, Harriet McDougal, and Jim Baen in 1980 (Baen would found his own imprint three years later). They were soon joined by Barbara Doherty and Katherine Pendill, who then composed the original startup team. ''Tor'' is a word meaning a rocky pinnacle, as depicted in Tor's logo. Tor Books was sold to St. Martin's Press in 1987. Along with St. Martin's Press; Henry Holt; and Farrar, Straus and Giroux, it became part of the Holtzbrinck group, now part of Macmillan in the US.
