T. W. Peacocke
TW Peacocke (born 1960) is a Canadian television and film director. Background Peacocke was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and raised in Canada, and holds citizenship of both the United States and Canada. He graduated from Université de Caen, France, then attended Yale University, where he graduated ''magna cum laude'' in 1983. He later studied at New York University Tisch School of the Arts between 1983 and 1984. Peacocke married Canadian actor Kari Matchett in the 1990s. Peacocke is well-known in the Canadian television industry, and has directed episodes of Madison, Cold Squad, Blue Murder, Traders and Made in Canada. He has won two Canadian Comedy Awards for Best Direction of a television series (for ''Made in Canada'' in 2002 and ''Rent-a-Goalie'' in 2007) and a Gemini Award for Best Direction in a Comedy Program - ''Rent-a-Goalie'' in 2008). Television Director
A television director is in charge of the activities involved in making a television program or section of a program. They are generally responsible for decisions about the editorial content and creative style of a program, and ensuring the producer's vision is delivered. Their duties may include originating program ideas, finding contributors, writing scripts, planning 'shoots', ensuring safety, leading the crew on location, directing contributors and presenters, and working with an editor to assemble the final product. Rookie Blue
''Rookie Blue'' is a Canadian police drama television series starring Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith. It was created by Morwyn Brebner, Tassie Cameron, and Ellen Vanstone. The series premiered on June 24, 2010, at 9:00 p.m. Eastern/8:00 p.m. Central, and aired on Global in Canada and ABC in the United States. On July 17, 2013, Global and ABC following later announced that ''Rookie Blue '' was renewed for a fifth season. Originally intended to be a single season consisting of 22 episodes (up from the usual 13), the season was split in two. Season 5 premiered on May 19, 2014, on Global, on June 19 on ABC, and on July 20 on Universal Channel in the UK. The second 11 episodes aired in 2015 and were later re-branded as season 6.
