T. J. Trevelyan
Thomas Jordan Trevelyan (born March 6, 1984) is a Canadian of Cornish descent professional ice hockey player for the Augsburger Panther of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Trevelyan was a 2006 graduate of Saint Lawrence University. During his National Collegiate Athletic Association career, Trevelyan was named to the ECAC All-Star Team in 2005 and 2006, as well as being named the ECAC Player of the Year in 2006. He was also named an NCAA First Team All-American in 2006. On August 26, 2006 Trevelyan signed a multi-year entry-level contract with the Boston Bruins. In 2008, Trevelyan was invited to training camp by the Anaheim Ducks, and spent the season in the American Hockey League (AHL) with Ducks affiliate the Iowa Chops. On July 21, 2009, Trevelyan signed a one-year contract with the Worcester Sharks. Prior to the 2009–10 season he was invited to Worcester's NHL affiliate the San Jose Sharks training camp. Winger (ice Hockey)
Winger, in the game of ice hockey, is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play is along the outer playing areas. They typically flank the centre forward. Originally the name was given to forward players who went up and down the sides of the rink. Wingers generally have the least defensive responsibilities out of any position on the ice, however they are still tasked with defensive duties such as forechecking duties or covering the point in the defensive zone. Nowadays, there are different types of wingers in the game — out-and-out goal scorers, checkers who disrupt the opponents, and forwards who work along the boards and in the corners. ECAC Hockey
ECAC Hockey is one of the six conferences that compete in NCAA Division I ice hockey. The conference used to be affiliated with the Eastern College Athletic Conference, a consortium of over 300 colleges in the eastern United States. This relationship ended in 2004; however, the ECAC abbreviation was retained in the name of the hockey conference. ECAC Hockey is the only ice hockey conference with identical memberships in both its women's and men's divisions. 2002–03 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2002–03 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season began on October 4, 2002, and concluded with the 2003 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament's championship game on April 12, 2003, at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York. This was the 56th season in which an NCAA ice hockey championship was held and is the 109th year overall where an NCAA school fielded a team. The 2002–03 season was the final year for the MAAC hockey conference when Iona and Fairfield ended their programs at the conclusion of the season. The NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament expanded to 16 teams for the first time in 2003. As a result, two regional sites were added for the new Northeast and Midwest brackets. OPJHL
The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) is a Junior A ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada. It is under the supervision of the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The league was listed as the 7th best developmental league in North America for professional and amateur ice hockey in July 2013 by the website, "TheHockeyWriters.com". The league dates back to 1954 where it began as the "Central Junior B Hockey League". In 1993, the Central Junior B Hockey League was promoted to the Junior A level and renamed the "Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League". In 2009, the league was dissolved by the Ontario Hockey Association and split into two leagues: the "Central Canadian Hockey League" and the "Ontario Junior A Hockey League". By early 2010, the two leagues merged to reform the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
