T.H. Tung
Tzu-Hsien Tung (; born c. 1960) is a Taiwanese businessman and philanthropist. He is a co-founder and former vice chairman of Asus. He serves as the chairman of Pegatron, currently. Tung received an honorary Doctor of Science degree from National Dong Hwa University in 2015 and founded Yang Mu Center for Literary Studies. Early life Tzu-Hsien Tung was born in 1960 and grew up in Ruisui, Hualien County, Taiwan. His father was a watchmaker. He grew up in the countryside, without a television set, and played Little League Baseball. He became an avid reader, and was influenced by the works of Yang Mu and Hu Shih. Tung received a master's degree in computer and communication engineering from the National Taipei University of Technology. While he was at university, he regularly skipped class to read independently instead, often reading censored books. He was also the editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper. Lumens (company)
The lumen (symbol: lm) is the unit of luminous flux, a measure of the total quantity of visible light emitted by a source per unit of time, in the International System of Units (SI). Chiang Ching-kuo
Chiang Ching-kuo (27 April 1910 – 13 January 1988) was a politician of the Republic of China after its retreat to Taiwan. The eldest and only biological son of former president Chiang Kai-shek, he held numerous posts in the government of the Republic of China and ended martial law in 1987. He served as Premier of the Republic of China between 1972 and 1978, and was President of the Republic of China from 1978 until his death in 1988. Born in Zhejiang, Chiang-kuo was sent as a teenager to study in the Soviet Union during the First United Front in 1925, when his father's Nationalist Party and the Chinese Communist Party were in alliance. He attended university there and spoke Russian fluently, but when the Chinese Nationalists violently broke with the Communists, Stalin sent him to work in a steel factory in the Ural Mountains. Chiang Kai-shek
Chiang Kai-shek (31 October 1887 – 5 April 1975), also known as Chiang Chung-cheng and Jiang Jieshi, was a Chinese Nationalist politician, revolutionary, and military leader who served as the leader of the Republic of China (ROC) from 1928 to his death in 1975 – until 1949 in mainland China and from then on in Taiwan.
