T-Mo
Robert Terrance Barnett (born February 2, 1972, in Fairburn, Georgia), professionally known by his stage name T-Mo Goodie (or simply T-Mo), is an American rapper from Atlanta. He is best known for being a member of Southern hip hop quartet Goodie Mob. He is also one-half of the hip hop duo the Lumberjacks (group), Lumberjacks (with fellow Goodie Mob groupmate Khujo), and a member of hip hop collective Dungeon Family. He released his first solo project ''2 the Fullest'' on October 31, 2000, via Stronghouse Productions. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia (U.S. state), Georgia. ATLiens
''ATLiens'' is the second studio album by American hip hop duo Outkast. It was released on August 27, 1996, by Arista Records and LaFace Records. From 1995 to 1996, Outkast recorded ''ATLiens'' in sessions at several Atlanta studios—Bosstown Recording Studios, Doppler Recording Studios, PatchWerk Recording Studio, Purple Dragon Studios, and Studio LaCoCo—as well as Chung King Recording Studio and Sound On Sound Recording in New York City. The record features outer space-inspired production sounds, with Outkast and producers Organized Noize incorporating elements of dub and gospel into the compositions. Goodie Mob is an American hip hop group based in Atlanta, Georgia, consisting of CeeLo Green, Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp. History The group was formed in 1991 by Cameron " Big Gipp" Gipp, Willie "Khujo" Knighton Jr., CeeLo Green (born Thomas Callaway), and Robert "T-Mo" Barnett in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1995, Goodie Mob released their debut album, ''Soul Food'', which was critically acclaimed and certified Gold. It was released on January 25, 2005 via Koch Records. Production was handled by Organized Noize, Darin "Superpower" Baker, Hall Of Tunez, Edward Cleveland, Cool Rah, Ed X, Khujo, Montez Harris, DJ Speedy. It features guest appearances from Witchdoctor, Big Gipp, Big Hustle and Preacher. After Cee-Lo and Big Gipp decided to leave Goodie Mob, T-Mo and Khujo released this album. Khujo
Willie Edward Knighton Jr. (born March 13, 1972), better known as Khujo, is an American rapper. He is one-fourth of Goodie Mob (along with T-Mo, Cee-Lo, and Big Gipp), and one-half of The Lumberjacks (with T-Mo). Life and career Khujo was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the only featured guest to appear on every single Outkast album, including Big Boi's solo album. Khujo has released a new book titled "Straight out the A" that focuses on his life and the development of the Dirty South movement from OutKast to Goodie Mob. Khujo is a very spiritual man known for his distinct, grunty voice and free-flowing rhyming style. He rhymes about all aspects of street life, often intertwining those subject with God metaphorically or directly. Lumberjacks (group)
Lumberjacks is the hip hop duo between T-Mo and Khujo of the Atlanta rapping pioneers Goodie Mob. The Lumberjacks were put together before the entire Goodie Mob group. Khujo and T-Mo formed a duo in high school before joining Cee-Lo and Big Gipp later to form the aforementioned supergroup. They never released an album under the "Lumberjacks" moniker though until 2005 with ''Livin' Life as Lumberjacks'', which failed to chart. They released this album after the three-member album One Monkey Don't Stop No Show which was after Cee-Lo left to pursue a solo career. Dungeon Family
The Dungeon Family is a musical collective, based in Atlanta, Georgia that specializes in Southern hip hop with heavy funk and soul influences. The group derives its name from "The Dungeon", the name given to record producer Rico Wade's studio, located in the basement of his mother's house, where many of the early members of the collective did their first recordings. Rico Wade, Ray Murray, and Sleepy Brown constitute the production/songwriting team Organized Noize, who have produced hits for the main popular Dungeon Family groups Outkast and Goodie Mob. The collective released their first album together, titled ''Even in Darkness'', on November 26, 2001. Label dissolution On October 7, 2011, it was announced that Arista, along with Jive and J Records, would be shut down. Cameron Gipp (born April 28, 1973), better known by his stage name Big Gipp, is an American rapper from Atlanta. He is best known for his work as a founding member of Goodie Mob, which he has gone on to release six studio albums. Aside from Goodie Mob, Gipp's solo album Mutant Mindframe was released in 2003. He is also closely associated with Nelly and particularly Ali of the St. Lunatics, which the latter and Gipp he formed the duo Ali & Gipp. Background Big Gipp, who is a Southern rapper, hails from the hotbed of the genre, Atlanta. He is known for his slow, drawn-out rapping dialect with political and street-life themed lyrics.
