Sầm Sơn is a resort city in north-central Vietnam, situated 16 km east of Thanh Hóa Province capital, Thanh Hóa, on the shore of the East Sea of Vietnam. Provincial city ( vi, Thành phố thuộc tỉnh), commonly known as City, a type of second tier subdivision of Vietnam is divided into 713 units along with urban district, district, municipal city, and town have equal status. North Central Coast
Bắc Trung Bộ (literally North Central Region, and often translated as North Central Coast) is one of the regions of Vietnam. It consists of six provinces: Thanh Hóa, Nghệ An, Hà Tĩnh, Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, Thừa Thiên–Huế. The last two provinces were the northernmost provinces of South Vietnam until 1976. Thanh Hóa
Thanh Hóa () is the capital of Thanh Hóa Province.
